No issues for me to date. I personally don't think the ride is rough, I had a spacer lift previous and this is much improved. I replaced the needle bearings as well so I haven't had any issues.

I bought this exact set up. Trying to decide if I want 6/5 or 5/4. How’s it holding up on the 6/5 set up? Rough ride?

Hey @toucan did you happen to get any post-lift measurements on the rear after your AAL?

Yeah looked like 22.5 on both sides, really. Not sure of accuracy though.

Thanks. Still 1/2" taller than mine. I'm going to pull everything completely apart this weekend.

did the install yesterday, pretty straightforward. Need an alignment before really testing it out, although initial impressions from a short drive was improved smoothness above 35 mph, less noticeable at lower speeds.

drove up to victoria from portland last month after my 5160s were installed on the rear, and i get to do it again at the end of this month with the complete setup. Looking forward to how these perform at high speed, as i believe thats where the biggest improvement will be (as was the case with 5160s)

This is correct....only difference is an additional perch setting. I've been running the gen 2s on my 3rd gen for over 2 years now. No complaints

Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
Don't know if this has been done already but I am on perch 4/3 with 700lb springs and I got better height than I did with the 600lb springs on perch 5/4.

Ride is much better - I feel as though the springs that come with the bilsteins are a bit too soft. From ground to fender I am sitting at 37.25 inches with 265/75/16 wheels on perch 4/3 with the 700lbs. Before I was sitting at 36 inches from ground to fender with the 600lb springs at perch 5/4.

Where did you get the 700lb springs. Are those available from bilstein?

Eibach has springs that fit the 6112 perfectly. I had compared a spring from King and Eibach side by side and the way that they are cut are the same but they arent completely identical where the coil tips stop are in different spots. Didn't know if this would be an issue but didn't want to risk it.

These are the ones that I got

Thanks , I was curious for future reference. I wouldn't mind if things were a bit stiffer up front

For sure! I cant really tell THAT much of a difference but it definitely isnt as soft on bumps anymore (which I prefer). I think the valving of the 6112 might just be kinda soft all around.

You're probably right.... this is coming from OME 883s on a first gen as well which I believe are 700 or 750lb springs on much less truck

Going to start work on overhauling my suspension this weekend. I have all the parts for my lift now and that includes the 6112s in the front. I ordered a set of Eibach 700lb springs to eventually go along with them. For now, until I get my bumper/winch sorted out I'm going to be running the normal 600lb springs that come with the 6112s. I plan on using the "no spring compressor" method of removing and changing out the springs. I'm pairing the 6112s with JBA UCAs and adding SuperBumps. In the rear, I'm adding HD Dakar leaf pack, Bilstein B110, Wheelers U-bolt Flip Kit and SuperBumps. Right now I'm trying to determine what clip to set the 6112s at. The ass end of my truck is fairly heavy. In the bed of my truck I have a mid-rise canopy, wooden/aluminum bed platform, Group 31 AGM Battery, Road Shower, Hi-Lift, and 270 degree awning. I would say at least 400lbs of constant weight and the truck gets loaded up pretty good with gear on trips. I'm also wanting to take my dirtbike on the back with a hitch hauler that I have. My current springs are shot, I wouldn't dare take the bike with the stock suspension. It is so tired.
With the constant weight in the back I'm thinking of setting the 6112s on the 4th or 5th setting and I'm hoping with the HD Dakars I will retain a stock amount of rake when not loaded with gear.

4th setting will give you some rake when you are unloaded with those leafs in the back. Mine is on the 4th setting with a modified Dakar pack (top OL out) and I am level. Platform, shell in the back.
