Are my ubolts installed wrong? are my bumpstops too small? one fell off and the other has damage from the bolts.

    Thanks.

Are you the original owner? The u-bolts have been flipped, which is a somewhat typical mod. The bolts should be cut shorter and often times the bump stop is relocated to the plate holding the u-bolts...

Thanks guys, any recommendations on which stops to get? or just order the same ones i have on there?

Is relocating the bump stops to the bolt side easy?

How would I attach these to my ubolt plate when there are no holes for it? Drill some? or get a new ubolt flip kit?

Those U bolts are too long. Chop off the excess thread down close to the top of the nuts so that they're shorter than the height of the bump stop and things will work much better.

Not if you’re easy on it. Jack up the hitch a little to relieve some load and chock the wheels. And avoid shifting the weight.

The center pin holds the pack together, not the ubolts

The problem is, the stock bump stops mount to the top of the leaf spring -- NOT to the frame like your kit.

You definitely need to cut down those ridiculously long u-bolts. Leave a couple of threads, use a standard 4 1/2" angle grinder (Harbor Freight has one for CHEAP if you need one, use the cutoff wheels).

    Untitled.jpg

Since the bump stops are completely f'd from those long bolts, I'd message the seller of those and ask why their bolts were too long before grinding. I'd suggest they provide new bumpstops too in that message. This whole issue would have been prevented if the U bolts were properly sized for stock suspension.

Harbor Freight Angle Grinder works fine, if you get a cutoff wheel from there make sure you get a mask.
