3" Toytec spacers, Bilstein 5100s in the back with add a leaf and overloads removed.
Night and day. And people actually complained about how this setup rides. I just tell I came from 3" spacers, nothing worse than that lol

I’m currently running 882s with one 5mm trim packer and dakar leaf springs. I'm going to be adding a front diff/tcase as well as a skid and winch so that will solve my PreRunner on 882 coil problem. This picture is with a half full tank so it gets ever so slightly worse with a full tank of gas. I'm going to install my add a leaf kit during the 4WD conversion and see what it looks like then. Right now I'm thinking a second trim packer and a leaf spring shim might be the only way to correct it.

Main reason I'm getting the add a leaf.... I actually made some contact on the fender flares in the rear off-roading on this camping trip. Wouldn't have happened without the ass sag.

Do you have a Dakar leaf pack or just aal? I have the same model as you but 4x4 and I have way more lift in the rear with the Dakar leaf pack from wheelers. Also how much is your lean, looks to be 1-2”? Seems like you have more lift in the front even with the arb bumper.

I have the Dakar pack but that bottom picture is with probably 300lbs in the bed. I bought the add a leaf to counter the sag from a load. I have a bit too much lift in the front right now since I'm still 2WD.

Are you also running the Ome nitro shocks in the rear as well? That’s a lot of sag for 300lbs or maybe your front is really high so it throws it off?

That's a lot of sag for only 300 pounds, that's like two average size dudes in the back of the bed :drunk:
It's gotta be more weight than that.

Nitros in the rear too. I had a ton of wood, a full cooler, and two people in the back seat. It was prbly more weight than 300lbs.

Yeah doing the math it was probably a lot more than 300lbs. I had a jet ski that weighed over 300 in the bed and it didn’t sag at all really.

I had 700+/- lbs of garden rocks in my bed for it to look like that. The back was 1” lower than the front from all that weight. So that looks to be over 600lbs at least.

I installed OME Dakars, u-bolts and greaseable shackles two weeks ago and torqued everything to spec: eye bolts 120 lb.ft., U-bolts 90 lb.ft., shackles 60 lb.ft. Last week I went camping for 6 days and drove about 600 miles; 150 of those off-road and 30 of those in 4-LO on a trail with rock shelves, deep ruts, football-sized boulders and lots of tight off-camber turns.

I checked them all tonight expecting things to be a little loose. The eye bolts and shackles were still in spec but the OME brand U-bolts were extremely loose. So the moral of the story is re-check them if you haven't before.

Luckily I experienced no problems and the ride is greatly improved over stock, both on and off-road.

Scanned through the thread, anyone have any issues with 5100 bilstein, 882, diff drop, and dakar's in the rear? Would be going into a 4wd ext cab 2.7L. I'm going for 3, 3 1/2 inch lift. Will be going JBA UCA as well. My concerns basically is that I haul basically no weight, aside from maybe 200 pounds give or take in fishing/camping gear. I really want the truck to sit level. Thank you!

This. Only thing I found a little loose were the u-bolts. Definitely re-check and not just once. Get in the habit of periodic checks - especially if you are off road often.

From my understanding anything over 3” your asking for cv boot damage even with a diff drop. Since yours is 2.7 extended cab the 882 would not be recommended because you have no extra weight up front and your truck is light. Maybe do 881 first and then try a 1/2” spacer later if you still want more lift?

Will do, I am looking to put some beefy 33's on the truck. How much will a 881 plus 1/2" net me usually?

1/2"in actually adds 1inch additional lift
    3/8" = .744in
    1/4" = .5in
    881s for a double cab 4x4 stock bumper= 2inch of lift.
1/2in spacer plate and 881s on your truck will be A LOT of lift.

On my DC I got about 1.50” of lift with 881 and OME shocks, no armor. The 1/2” spacer are spec at a max 3/4” of lift but some people claim they give you a full 1” of lift. Even so that would only total 2.5” of lift. If you also do a diff drop I don’t see a problem, technically, as long as you stay under 3” of lift. Worst case you can easy remove the spacer and leave the extended top plate bolts in.

Happy to hear that. I've been told that I'll need more weight than that with the 882s but we'll see I guess. I'm hoping I can finish painting the tcase/diff over thanksgiving and then drop my transmission, driveshaft, and spindles for modification when winter break starts.

Switched out the 881 to 883 today. With the new 883 it raised the front up to 1” so now I only have 1” of rake in the rear. Had my gf sit on my front bumper and it only brought it down no more than 1/2” so I know when I have a winch on there it will probably only go down 1/4” or less. From ground to bottom fender 37” front and 38” rear. Still have about 1/2” of lean on driver side. I did take it for a drive around town and maybe I need to drive it more but it actually feels the same or better compare to the 881.
