Gonna trade my X5 and having owned 2 prev gens of Prerunner, planning on getting a 2018 sports Taco (double cab 4X4). Test drove both the Sports/OR and I prefer the Sports model (and I LOVE the fake hood scoop..lol).

Haven't bought a vehicle for over 5 years now so kinda rusty. I have 2 local dealers that have incoming 2019 models but not offering much discount on current remaining 2018 models.

What's the general consensus on buying a Taco (wait till Dec end or around about end Oct/Nov)?

Not interested in 2019 models as it looks like it has very minimal change over 2018. Unless of course, more rebates/discounts on 2019.....

Thanks a bunch for any info!! Cheers! Happy 'treadin!

October for 18's, end of December for a 19'.

You get a lot more incentives and lower interest rates on an old inventory unit, but they start becoming scarce around october.

The 19's will stay high, but the dealers struggle to make big sales during xmas, I've bought many cars during the last week of december, and I have come out ahead big time.

Also you want to buy from the largest inventory dealer, they will have more selection, but more pressure to clear the lot.

December is always the best time to buy. Email as many dealers as you can until no one will match the lowest price, then pull the trigger!

Usually right before the new ones come out. Usually if you want longer you get a better deal, but if you wait too long there might be nothing left from the previous year.

Exactly. 2018s will be the best deal, but are about to be limited stock.
