All- I've had a bit of a hiatus here, life got a little busy. Vacation and moved. Here's a few pics of my new place in progress, all my furniture is made by yours truly.

Hey, been buisy living life here, move, building things for home and ended up buying a boat. Making a full-size bed with storage cubbies for my son. The Boat and trailer are just about the max size I can tow and it just barely fits in my covered parking spot. It’s a Carolina Skiff 17’, not sure but I think it’s a JV model. A tub with skrew on decks. Motor is in great shape, all electrical components work accept the livewell pump. Trailer...rebuilt both hubs they were in horrible shape. I had to put new lights and rewire it. It’s got shag carpet bunks, I want to keep them on as long as I can haha!!!

    How’ve you been @ChadsPride?

Pics of some of my work and the new (to me) boat...

Thanks man, boat was a craigslist find and when I came across it I had to get it.

Glad you’ve been doing well man, maybe in October I’ll try making a C&C visit or hidden falls trip.

How do you like that Carolina skiff? I’ve been looking for a center console this whole summer.

I like it so far. Took it out in a moderate chop and it was a surprising dry ride. For a flat bottom boat the ride wasn't that bad either. I lucked out finding this one on craigslist, a 'winter texan' had it most of its life. Going to take it out fishing tomorrow

Been enjoying the bost. Been thinking of putting a ‘1’ sticker in front of the 50 sticker on the motor.

Tacos been towing the boat just fine. Longest haul was about 50 miles. I don’t quite use fifth gear towing, but in fourth gear I can keep up in traffic just fine. Here’s a shot, boat ready to launch waiting in line to go catch some summer specs.

Boat Mods- cause it’s my thread

So, everything works on the boat that’s installed. Previous owner had mounted a Raymarine Dragonfly 4 Pro, but didn’t install the transducer, so before I installed that I cleared up the old wire clutter. Looks cleaner now that I’ve gone through it, next I need to change it’s fuel line out, control cables, and the battery cable. Also am going to redo all the aux wiring and put in a BlueSea pannel like I put in the taco. Going to do those all at once seal up the routing cover once done.

Trailer came to the USA on the Mayflower. So yeah, i had changed out a hub and rebuilt one, here’s a pic of one of the original before it went in the dumpster. She still needs springs and tires.

Front deck had a seat post I have no desire to use. Gonna put a deck hatch over the hole at some point. Mounted a Yeti 35 for a casting deck for when the reds is shallow :D

More to come, like a jack plate. Leaning post. And one of those TTC flags @ChadsPride suggested.

Taco mods will resume soon :anonymous:

Boat looks great! I like the center steering, and can't go wrong with a Yamaha!

Hell yeah man!!! I’m very happy with the Yamaha. I was thinking of a tiller version boat but, the console, seat in front in all is a little better for me to keep an eye on my son when running.

On a side note, my mom is getting her birth certificate updated from Quebec. Once that’s done I’m gonna get working on my dual citizenship.
