Yep. '93, with 159K on it; the second owner bought it from me sight unseen, due to the condition of the side of the driver's seat. No shit.

That's pretty sweet! Do you mind telling me what it sold for and how long ago you sold it?

Factually yes, dimensions don't lie though. You sure about the tail light thing? Would be fun to try. The 05-06 tundra tails would look dope on a T100. The third brake light probably fits a first gen tacoma too

    This VS that
    20180820_174004.jpg

Basically seems like the red/clear depo tails for a 95-00 taco vs the 01-05 tacos. The older ones are dull and the newer ones are shiney

    So sexy

I think there’s some difference between 2000-2002 and 2003-2006. I read a guy who did it a long time ago back when I had a first gen tundra (RIP) and it just stuck. Agree though would be fun to try

    The deets:

It was a '93, bought in summer of '93, with 1100 miles on it, from a doofus that bought it, but hadn't even made the first payment, saying he couldn't afford the insurance. Paid $14,800 for it, and I sold the truck I was driving to the same guy, but can't remember how much he paid. It was a 1986 Toyota 4x4, with an extended cab, looked like this one:

Drove the red one for 14.5 years, put 162K on it, sold it for $5400 in January of 2005, because I thought I needed an FJC:

    upload_2018-9-13_8-12-30.jpg

A true dumbass move, because that '07 FJC was not a truck, and honestly, is the only Toyota I've owned that I thought was built cheap. I drove that for a couple of years, and traded it in on my '11 Tacoma, which got traded in last year on the Tundra.

I put the red truck truck on CL, had a call from a guy about an hour later, saying he'd take it, and did I want the entire amount PayPal'd to me, so that I wouldn't sell it before he could get down here from Ft. Worth? I told him $3K was fine, and a couple of minutes later, it was in my PayPal account. A couple of days later, he showed up with 24 crisp hundys in an envelope, and the rest was history. Sad note, the guy died of a massive heart attack only a couple of years after he bought the truck. Nice guy, reminded me of John Candy a bit, another guy who died relatively young.

    upload_2018-9-13_8-24-11.jpg

I suspect that same truck would sell for more these days, but the sale price at that time was on the high side. I only regret selling it because of the POS I replaced it with. It was a great vehicle, but with the regular cab and 4 popper under the hood, probably wouldn't be the truck I'd drive these days.

@CedarPark if you look at the trails on google maps it shows what months they’re closed. If I remember correctly, most of the passes are closed Dec-May.
