Pay attention to the track, the past 4-5 updates have shifted back north. I agree they don't know, they didn't know last week when it decided to come straight to the us instead of traveling north and dying. Same happened here in 2016 with Mathew, it was supposed to just brush us and it ended up slamming us and causing all kinds of flooding. Oh well though, I'm prepared for whatever happens. She's weakened down some, just waiting to see what happens when she gets into the 80-90 degree water right off the coast.

I'm no meteorologist but I don't think there is enough time to make any significant changes.

Cant change if it hasn't happened ;)

The track is a guess, not a forecast. Gives you a general idea of the projected path. there have been many times its been flat out wrong.

Replacing everything worn, broken, and rusted.
I'm happy those on Camp Lejuene are confident. But it is interesting how many people rely on the past to determine their future fate. Especially in an era of larger and more powerful storms than years past. And warmer oceans. Like the 200 Ocracoke folks sitting out there at ocean level. Just because you made it last time, doesn't guarantee you this time. Ask the Harvey Folks, or the Sandy folks, or the Katrina folks. They felt the same.

    Stay safe Carolinas.

I was there in ‘99 for the Dennis/Floyd double team, and this one looks a lot worse on the precipitation front.
