Go to Kentucky sub forum. Look at 3rd annual Black Mountain thread. Also , look at 4th annual (upcoming) my favorite trail system.

    Dates are listed.

Went to Indiana and visited the very first place I ever went 4-wheelng. That was 45 years ago. I was 16. Flower Gap Road. A fire road/county road. When 4wds first started becoming "cool" in the early 70s I had a '72 Ford 3/4 ton. It had 35s when the biggest thing made was 38s. These trails got reamed. Early 80s Indiana DNR shut them down and graded them and put down gravel. Now it's back to dirt but still graded. I drove in, parked where we used to party, sat there and thought about how fun it was back then.

Wheelin' trip to Redbird SRA (Near Linton Indiana) this coming Saturday. (15th) details yet to be made final....This is a rain date after this past Saturday saw 6" of rain in the area.

Details will be posted in. Midwest sub forum. A little over 2 hours north of Louisville...just west of Indianapolis.

Moab Offroads "Week-O-Wheelin" visits Redbird almost yearly. Great park!

OK....Looking at possibility of onboard air compressor being stuffed into bed cubby hole. It'll fit (barely) and I have a topper so bed is protected.

Any thoughts? Not sure there's any advantages or disadvantages..... just thinking out loud.....

How much of a pain do you want when airing up? Open the topper, drop the tailgate, open the cubby..

If I do what I want....there will be a quick connect located on the outside of the door. Switch located either next to the quick connect, or, inside the cab.

Or else, put the compressor under the hood....

Just trying to re-invent the wheel here..

Still have to open the topper door and drop the gate.

I just have a switch in the cab and a chuck on each bumper for max overland points..I'm lazy.

Annual Fall Ride @ Tri-County Volunteer Fire Dept @ Zoe Kentucky was badazz! Roughly 150 4wds. From stock to rock bouncers. We had a group of 6 Jeep XJs, 3 JKUs, a Land Cruiser 60 diesel (right hand drive) Nissan XTerra, Toyota Sequoia, LR Disco II, a new Chevy Colorado, and 2 Tacoma's. Our group leader lives in Zachariah, just off DBBB. He knew trails that arent on any maps. We covered 115 miles of dirt in 8 hours. Some easy.....some bizzare.

Great cookout at the fire house when we finished....Won a door prize.....a gift card for The Rockhouse (near Miguel's Pizza)

Event of the day was turning around 27 vehicles at the top of "Lover's Leap" . (The single most impressive rock wall at RRG) There is room for about a dozen....looked like a muddy Chinese fire drill!

Met a couple of the prime movers at Hollerwood.

@fleckosaurus. One of the Tacoma's was a 2017 that belongs to a guy you work with.

Several of the group were old Army buddies of mine. Last ride we went on was Dirt Devil in November of 2016. We had an awesome reunion! Planning same group at LBL in early October.

He told me his name, but I met probably 25 people yesterday. Lucky I can remember my own name sometimes....

    2017 MGM DCSB...red derped emblems....

We met up with a white Rubicon part of the way through the first trail section. Can't say if it was the same one or not. Jeeps were like ants at a picnic....Must have been a billion of them.

Also....Damn near forgot this one! We also had a Chevy Colorado in tow yesterday. Already equipped with ARB bumper, winch, full skids, sliders, a topper with roof rack and RTT. Did OK... He was behind me on a long uphill climb. It was dusty, so we had the windows shut and AC on. May have saved us. All at once, the Colorado came to a stop, both occupants and their dog bailed and started swatting hornets. Passenger got stung 8 times. Dog 3. Driver once.

    Chuck....That's him.

He had 3 younger riders with him. Apparently they were getting a chuckle out of him blasting all the water out of any mud holes we ran onto!
