Wanting to swap my rear slider with my BSM button.
    Would there be enough slack?

Nope. No manufacturer would put that much extra wire for a switch. The cost would be significant when spread out over millions of trucks.

I believe the panel holes for the switches are different. The hole for the rear slider switch has a bevel on the bottom of it.

The buttons are also different sizes and because the power window button goes in and out, I doubt it would be a clean fit.

Well I have swapped out the dash panel to put another one in, there was enough wire to pull it out and pull the buttons off the backside.

Did they change the button location over time or based on option package? My 18 has the rear slider in the center panel(where the OP's Blank spot is) and the auto high beam button on the left side

My window button on my 18, OR manual in where that empty middle port is located on yours. Makes me wonder if Toyota has different length wires on switches for different models. I doubt it.

Worst case, if you're handy with a soldering iron, you could extend them. It's doable, it just comes down to if your time is worth it.

I have a '17 and have switches like the OP does, so clearly they feel like he does and moved the switch for '18.

Gotcha, I was thinking if it was wired differently based on option packages they would probably leave enough wire to move it easily

BSM is blind spot monitoring. Believe it comes with the tech package.
