my brand new Tacoma DCSB OR (10 days old) is having issues with the right rear tail light.

The running light on the passenger rear is not working (the upper curved). However, when locking / unlocking that same bulb appears to be working fine. Also seems to work fine when indicating right (right turn signal).

Does not work with braking (which i think is normal activity.)

    attached some pics/ vids.

Any thoughts? Planning on taking to dealership to get it looked at. Also get the left door wind noise issue addressed. Apparently their is a TSB for that too.

(still haven't decided on name plate. Will see what pans out)

You can determine the issue in 2 minutes...
    1) Remove housing, unseat/reseat offending bulb...if issue remains go to #2.
    2) Swap bulbs with lower
    3) If issue tracks, bad bulb...up to you to decide if dealer trip/time is warranted, or trip to auto parts store.
    4) If issue does not track, take back to dealer.

I would start going to the dealer to get it fixed, like others have suggested..

Mine came with the driver side socket of the tail light defective.... i took it apart, and found that the contacts (little metal things) inside the socket were loose.. with a very small flat head screw driver pushed them inwards as far as i could, but be aware NOT to get them in too far because if they become in contact with each other, they will short, and most likely burn a fuse or even cause further damages, if you do this, is best if you disconnect the battery to be safe..
By pressing the contacts inwards, made for a tighter contact with the bulb, and problem solved...
    Good luck..

That is a dual filament bulb. The running light portion is more than likely gone bad/burnt out.
