Anyone want to trade my 882's for their 881's with a 10mm spacer?

here she is: OME 881s + 5100s + 10mm aluminum spacer plate paired with JBA UCA's. Hub to fender measurements 24 & 3/8" inches.
double cab prerunner 3.4L v6

 

I would buy your 882's but I don't have anything to swap out. I dont need my 881s either.

 

Just to add to the thread here and so it shows up in search results for future reference ---

I had ordered the . After install, I noticed the weight of my Leer Cap and extra gear/loads in the rear were just enough to give me a very slight sag in the rear. So to resolve, I decided to go the add-a-leaf route and ordered the OME AAL's (D43XL) from LowRange. When I went to install them, the u-bolts which were part of the Wheeler's kit were too short! Didn't even occur to me I might run into an issue.

Anyway, ordered:

x4 Toyota U-Bolt | Length 200mm - Rear by Old Man Emu (OMEU53B)

Lesson learned - anyone who is looking at adding a leaf to their Dakar pack, be sure to pick up longer u-bolts.

EDIT: FWIW, on the 02', I encountered the same parking brake cable rub as mentioned here. Time to implement the fix.

So you have 881's that you're not using? I'm just a little unclear what you're saying....

 

I'm saying I have 881s that have had mild use and worked great before my bumper. Now that I am ready to put my bumper on I was going to buy 882s.

I have a spring compressor and It takes a afternoon to get them swapped. If you are interested.

 

We're you running a top spacer with the 881's?

 

I am running .25 top plate. I am keeping those though. You can order them and put them in when you install the main unit.

 

Just had my OME kit from toytec installed this week. 883 springs with nitrochargers all-round and add a leaf.

Ride feels very stiff but I'm assuming it will improve when springs settle and I install my ARB bumper+winch.

 

Did you get the complete Dakar leaf spring ? or just the Ass a leaf ?

Is the ride really that bad, very stiff? I am about to get the 883.

 

I think it's very soon for me to Judge. I'm still getting used to it, have driven de car less than 5 hours.

The car should feel much better after I install my bumper and the springs settle/break in.

If you don't plan on having a heavy bumper I would skip them for sure.

 

I don't plan on putting a bumper or anything really. So you recommend the 882 or 881. I'm looking for a 2.5" lift

 

I believe 881 plus a .25" plate spacer is the recommended when not having heavy bumpers on the front.

I would ask around and wait for someone se to confirm.

That's the way mine was 881s .25 spacer gave me good lift. 2.25-2.50
