    Leak? Since I do not have a sport hood at the moment I'm going to speculate that even if it does leak a bit around the scoop it would not be an issue. I've taken my OR wheeling a couple of times with water crossings and there is NOTHING dry under the hood after doing that but I have had zero issues. There are many others who do the same thing and I have heard of no one mentioning water/dampness associated issues after splashing around in the water.

    I hope this helps to ease any concerns you may have with the sport hood.

    If you did find someone to swap with you that is AWESOME. I gave up trying to find that "someone special" and purchased a replacement hood (sport) for the OR. I'm just waiting for my paint guy to fit it into his schedule.

    I hope you enjoy your Taco as much as I'm enjoying mine!

    Yes - love that color. Toyota has discontinued it and the Blazing Pearl Blue (I believe) which makes ours even more special!
    BTW - those wheels are my 2nd favorite factory wheels after the TRD Pros. Enjoy your Taco!!!

    An Off Road with a Sport hood will be so unique. I kinda wish I had investigated this as an option. I still don't understand all the glare issues either. Sun is sun and I never have a problem. I do like the black vinyl look though, but again, since I removed it from my B Pillar I will likely never add it to the scoop. If anything I will just do two wide black stripes down the length of the entire truck. To emphasize the Sport theme.

    And when the time comes and I do armor, I will rattle can it Satin Paprika. :thumbsup:

    Well that makes me feel better about it. I've always loved the look of the sport hood and yesterday a guy came into work commenting on that beautiful inferno taco out in the parking lot. turns out he has a sport and wishes he had a flat hood.. i think im going to help him out with that!

    It’s crazy how the 2 colors I have owned are both getting the boot. These wheels are way more bad ass when they’re blacked out along with the rest of the chrome being blacked out. These tacos are so damn enjoyable and I hope it lasts me a long damn time. Thanks man and enjoy your Taco too.

    Just had my transmission update and I gotta say it is SOOO much better. I haven’t driven it on the highway yet but just in town you can feel the difference. You don’t have that “dead pedal” feeling when you’re pushing down the pedal and barely feel power. It shifts like it should shift now and doesn’t do any gear hunting. If you haven’t had the update do yourself and truck a favor and get it done:burnrubber:

    Not always. I have 'show signature lines' turned off. I find it nice to not have to see all the clutter when reading a thread.
