Tell me how OEM wheels are "much better" than aftermarket.

seriously want to argue that a cast wheel made in china is stronger and more durable than oem? Im not pointing out every single a/m wheel but oem is definitely better than some brands on the market.

LOL... Ok so are we talking "usually" meaning most of the time, like the post I was responding to? Or are we talking sometimes?... which is not "usually."

Because most any recognizable brand is better than the made to the absolute lowest demominator and cost OEM wheels (that don't even fit our trucks for most of our applications and "usually" look like gabage)

How about OEM second gen limited wheels? Prolly get em on the cheap if you can find them.

The C6s were sweet, and I like the yellow.

For me, I'd be derping the wheels. Sorry!

"oem wheels that don't fit our trucks" are you actually that dumb or just trolling?

I believe they are made by Superior Wheels in Mexico.

I think it would be cool. Anything different usually gets my vote because so many cosmetic mods are generic and widely applied by, it seems, half the membership of TW.

The thing to remember about automotive fashion is that it goes in cycles. The guys who were getting everything chromed in the 50s and 60s are not that different than the guys blacking everything out these days. The days of chrome will return, maybe they are already?

They are an alloy wheel, correct? Consider having them polished instead of plated. Its a bit more subtle, but same concept, and youll never have a peeling issue.

I did a set on a 300zx I had. Cost a bit less than plating would have too.

Make sure the shop removes the tires, stems and all weights so everything gets covered.

Not chromed, but a semi-rally wheel concept. Made up of spare tire wheels. :anonymous:
