I hate this thread. I really NEED to get back to Moab and October is the best time of the year (seasonally) to do it. But timing wise, it is horrible. I have my elk hunt I have to do Oct. 25-Nov 15th. And this year we have a guy coming from Texas to hunt with us. He has paid big bucks to hunt and we need to fill his tag to make it work it for him. Ahhh, I miss Moab so much! Truck is built and ready to go! Just not enough vacation or money.

I might just have to. I really do need to wheel this truck, not just DD and tow with it. This truck has never been to Moab and I have never made it to Moab at the same time as Konsta. I might just have to grab the tent and go. The camper would be nice, but not needed for a quick trip. Damn you Konsta and this thread. I am never going to have time or money to go get the '89 toyota truck I bought in ND from my brother. But also, so many new people to meet and talk to face to face. I loved the old Tacoma Takeover events TTORA used to have in Moab in October of every year. Oh to be young and without children and near as many bills.

I'll be in Monticello for the deer hunt that weekend so i won't be too far away. If I get a buck opening morning I might swing down into Moab.

 

i was going to get some tasty meat opening day as well. At the store, bet i spend less than you on it too.

 

Yeah.... $40 for a tag for meat that will last me most of the year. Highly doubt it...

 

Add in your fuel cost, wear and tear on your truck, time to get it, time to butcher it then supplies to pack it into a freezer (if you aren't paying and having that done at a butcher shop) the money that you spend on power for an extra freezer cuz a entire deer or elk wont fit into a conventions freezer with along with your frozen pizza cuz one elk or deer will not feed you for most of a year unless you spread that out. Just saying there's a lot more that goes into it. If you actually kill one and im not trying to offend im trying to get you to bail on hunting to put wear and tear on your truck in moab

 

Why not both? haha I'm down in Moab at least once a month if not more since I have a house in Monticello. It doesn't take up as much time as you think. But to each their own, it's a hobby of mine and it's something I can do with the fam.

 

You are correct you can do both and having a hobby you can do with the family is great. Im in moab once a year. Id love for it to be more but haven't pulled that off yet, i have to many projects and not enough money.

 

Yeah I love it down there. Once I save up enough I'm just going to retire there. Sick truck btw. When I had my 1st gen I stalked your build page religiously haha

 

you mean lack of information and mostly just picture page. ( look here's what i did last ) for reals though here it is a bigger radiator that i didn't even need i just wanted it.

Last weekends project
