    Thanks for the heads up!

Yeah I'm just trying to get all the info I can before we make our decision Sunday if we are accepting this position or not. Only been to Utah once in my life but we are getting so tired of the Seattle area we are looking for a change.

May I suggest a Gold Hill Road in the Uintas. It's forest and not red rock for a different change of scenery. I have 4WD within a few miles of Whiskey Island lake and fished for arctic grayling. They are in there. It's a beautiful drive/hike/fishing adventure.

For what it's worth, as a Seattle native, I lived in Seattle again from 2014-2015, moved to Utah and never looked back. SLC reminds me of Seattle back in the day pre-Amazon, etc when everything around there was a lot less screwy than it is these days.

Man it sounds like you know exactly how I feel. I've grew up here in the Seattle area and it's changed sooo much because of these "tech" companies.

It's funny a lot of my friends in NC, Atlanta, etc all were saying how awesome it would be if their town got chosen for Amazon's HQ2. A couple of us at the table were Seattle-ites and we just laughed and then warned them about how their lives would be turned upside down overnight as 50K people+families moved in.

Hell yes. I take take you all through the Unitas. All depends on how the winter is this year to see when the highway 150 reopens.

Little Moab is cool and 5 mile is always pretty cool to see. we can go run up wanyes world and see if you can climb eagles nest with your fancy 4 link. This is out west so if you come out early spring, snow *shouldn't* be an issue.

How populated is this area? I have some friends coming down in about a week and were planning to go somewhere up in the Uintas, but not sure where yet. Looking for a place we can fit 4 vehicles (tacomas & 4runners) and be relatively close to some trails we can hike up and fish. Would you recommend this area for that?

We've previous always camped down the dirt road right near Washington Lake, but were looking to switch it up a bit.

When I went in July I caught some hunters trying to poach a deer. They threw their bows in the bushes. That’s all I saw. Pretty sparse. I reported them when getting back in cell range.

Went to World of Speed out on the Bonneville Salt Flats this weekend. If you go to the starting line, they basically let you stand about 10 feet from them on launch. I could have entered the taco, but the near $400 entry fee was a little too stiff for me. Besides, my taco loaded EAF will do 102 and no mas...As tested the last time I was in Bonneville :burnrubber: Meanwhile, the purple streamliner behind me broke their record with a 488 mph pass.

Also while watching the races, we ran into a pair of real deal overlanders from Belgium sporting a tan Mercedes truck and a two axle mercedes semi. Adamisontheroad and AtypicalYear on IG if you are curious. The Adamis' shipped their truck over from Belgium and started their NA trek with their 2 kids on the 4th of July in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

Plus since we were in Wendover, we went and saw the Wendover Air Force base museum where they based the Enola Gay and the first Atomic Bombs. Plus got to go in this bird. Nicholas Cage wasn't waiting for us though, so it was a little disappointing.

Later that day, I got to try my hand at field repairs. Tire plug wouldn't hold, so I got to bust out the FauxEagle and get to work.

Well they have a jack lifting the axle off the ground from in a depression, while loaded for a rugged wekend; so yeah...that axle's gonna be flat. Unweighted on level ground, they are just fine.
