Slack in Seat

Curious if anyone else has noticed slack in their driver's seat? It's locked into place, but when I hard brake or quickly accelerate there is probably 1/8" or 1/4" of movement in the seat. It is beyond annoying. I can move my butt back and forth and make it rattle. Maybe I need to lose weight.. but is there a simple adjustment that can be made?

 

I have experienced this same thing. In my case, the seat felt like it was locked in but I don't think it was. The problem corrected when I grabbed the release handle and slid the seat firmly into a "notch". Try sliding the seat in the track and resetting it.

 

I had slight play(popping noise while turning sharp) I mentioned while my 2016 Trd offroad was in for its 30k service. Dealership replaced it under warranty. Service guy said bolts and everything were tight. Not sure what was up with it.

 

Same issue here, totally normal per toyota.

Lol nope. I don’t have the time to keep going to the dealer, it sucks.

 

Exactly this, my daughter is doing her drivers practical and when I move my seat back to my position this happens about half the time. If I reposition again it locks in place.

Mine is solid. If it is moving I would check the bolts and, if they are tight, I would take it to the dealer. Seat should not move.

 

Squats, donkey kicks and box jumps will firm up the slack.

 

Have the same issue. Not all of the time, but everyonce in a while I’ll notice it.

 

I have had it happen a couple of times. I believe I may not have had the seat 100% locked in but it's something I'm keeping an eye on and still testing.

 

Mine is completely slack free. I do get the false lock ever so often and it locks firmly into place when i brake or move on it.
Get it fixed
