Most of the droop comes with the shackle flip.

Well most people don’t like the way ome rides up front. I don’t have a problem with it. And I have 886 springs.

yep, i got the hammer hangers instead since i have been in several situations where i landed there and stuff was slowly bending over time. would be nice to have something that offered both more droop and protection

I have no baseline except the original Hitachi's. My suspension upgrade will be happening soon then I can speak from experience. I just like to know what other people are doing, have done, or would never do again, just because I like to learn stuff.

Yea I probably should have done that and it was suggested by many people. However I did go with what I feel was the best information and advise available. I'm 110% confident the information was solid and that I made the right choices. My upgrade is scheduled to occur very soon. I definitely don't need the articulation your showing though. Having and knowing my limits is usually the best policy for me. I plan on going slow and taking it easy until I develop my skills.

I went with Bilstein 6112s up front. They come pre-assembled and even compensate for the lean associated with the 3rd Gens. The height should only be 2.5" and I suspect that will settle a little over time.

When I feel ready to add armor it will be to go places that require it and likely a even more appropriate suspension setup.

At least these are my plans. :)

You probably wont have too much settling without added extra weight in the front, but I can't really comment on OME springs. Mine are eibachs.

I bet Rob might jump in anyway. IIRC 6112s are 2.5" shocks, and come with their own 3" springs. After adding weigh, one could preload the spring or change for a stiffer one - most probably Eibach - to add height.
I was looking to get those as well, but at the time they were on back order for a few months. Would have save bunch of $... Oh well
