Well that is the kicker. It depends on when the storm exits the city and the EOC calls us in. The same with the wife and the hospital calling her. We boarded up the house and sand bagged so I would like to assess it before going to check in. She is also nervous and not wanting to go until we get the call and get caught in the storm. She has her car, Ford fusion, so it will be tricky getting it in the city if the flooding is substantial.
I was asking to be tagged because if y'alls timing is right for us I would like to tag along.

got the handheld ham radio charged up and ready for weather monitoring. All new batteries in the flashlights. Phones and iPads charged or charging. Plenty of food and water...all vehicles gassed up....any potential yard projectiles secured just in case. Think we're good. will monitor this forum as long as we have Internetz.

 

What channels do you have programmed? I just setup @T4RH33L today. We might not be able to talk directly but couldn't hurt to have a set channel.

 

I usually monitor the 145.210 repeater

 

@ovrlndkull @Sandman614 do either of you know if these brackets will be sufficient for mounting the bar on the SOS bumper? That’s how I have my current bar mounted to my crash bar...

 

It should be able to be mounted on the top under the hoop but not in the 20" cut out as that is meant for a single row.

 

Ah ok - good to know. I want one in the cut out. Good thing I asked before I purchased

Stupid trees!!!! Just have mild winds with some gusts every now and then.

 

It’s 1.8 miles between the substation and my subdivision, pretty sure I know exactly where the lines are down, and they’ll be that way for a few days

This storm just snuck up on us ya know....

 

We have a few down.

 

Funny the countys west of me have been loosing power we are still good here.

 

We lost power sometime in the middle of the night. To be expected though.
