Went from 3rd Gen Taco to 3GT4R to 2nd Gen Taco and finally a V8 4GT4R.
Welp. Dual battery installation took 4 hours and I ended up putting my OEM one back in.

Spent a solid hour digging through my garage looking for my 1/2 inch bit. Found it. Cool.
Took my sweet ass time lining up the tray, then the batteries in the tray, etc. Cool. Check. Done.
Mark holes that need to be drilled. OK. Not too hard.
Retry the tray to make sure everything is perfect and lined up correctly. OK.
Drill holes. My experience is always start small and work your way up to the correct size (according to their youtube its 1/2 inch bit). Done. Drilled 6 Fresh holes into the sheetmetal. One hole is fucked up. Ok thats fine, there's 5 others that will hold it down.
HERES WHERE SHIT HITS THE FAN.
Genesis apparently made a switch to nutserts instead of the wellnuts that they had in their fucking youtube video install. OK that sounds fine, it should still work, right? WRONG. The nutserts are like .389 of an inch and the holes are .25 inches. So basically im fucked for the install for tonight. Immediately emailed genesis with frustrations on how I had to wait for the hardware to be shipped a week after receiving the tray. Then drilling according to their "old" specs and then now having to ask for them to ship out their "old" hardware just so I can finish install. Nowhere in the box were instructions, warnings, or disclaimers about switching to new hardware so for people who like to follow along via video we get to shit creek without a paddle and we are taking on heavy water.

Don't be surprised if you see the system for sale soon. So pissed.

I could but it shouldn’t be put on a customer to go out and get hardware that should have already been provided.

    I agree that's kinda shitty
    option 1 - finish it
option 2 - sell it and start over
option 3 - just finish it. If you want bring it and we'll do that and put those springs on saturday

Its cool you tried to DIY but I did mention we needed a rivet gun.......

I think option 3 is the most reasonable response here. I understand the frustration but theres no reason to throw a tantrum over it.
