I was talking to someone yesterday. He was trying to convince me to upgrade my bike to a Softail Deluxe. Sure, Ill trade in my new Harley, for a newer one, and I'll just continuously owe money. Never get out, because the need to mod. And I always choose the expensive hobbies.

Why didnt I get into knitting when I was younger.

Yeah I'm already getting calls from Toyota: "Want to trade in for a 2019? Come see us this weekend!" It's no wonder these trucks aren't built to last anymore. Just throw it away and buy another.

I've actually been eying this 2016 Sportster Roadster on craigslist with 1,400 miles. Ad says, "I don't have time to ride anymore." 2 years and 1,400 miles? You never had time to ride, homie. It was an impulse buy and we both know it.

Watch out. The roadsters are kinda a pain. Or at least @LocoLocal thinks his 2002 is. His has 6k miles and he got it for $3200.

We were upgrading some things, and everything is hard to find. But that bike has nicer suspension than my truck or my new bike! Adjustable resi front and rear!

I actually test rode one before getting the softail. Fit me better than any other sporty I've ridden because of the taller suspension. The weird mid controls were right where your feet wanted to go when you come to a stop so you have to step off really wide. That was really awkward, but riding it was smooth. I wanted to take it on some twisties.

I've got a Sport! 1200S as its called.

I'll agree it's a pain but I only have the Taco to compare it to. Tacomaworld has spoiled me. There just isn't a ton of info out there about a 16 year old bike that was only made for 7-8 years. Almost anything that's worth modding or upgrading is different than the other 1200 models so it sucks that almost none of those parts fit.

I will say this though: the softail is a lot faster and more comfortable to ride, but nothing handles like a sportster. I remember feeling super nimble on mine and could whip through traffic and thread the needle while splitting. The new bike feels like I have to give it a bit more room to make turns that aren't as tight. I could be in my head though, since it's been a long time since I was on a sporty.

Pretty sure that's a different bike. I meant the Roadster (started production in 2016). The designation is XL1200CX.

Could be. They rehash a lot of the old names. They killed the nightster but now have the Iron 1200 which is as close to a nightster as you're going to get... except for the disco graphics.
