Freedlyville Quarry / Dorset Caves group trip?

Unless anyone else objects, or needs accommodation, we can do 13:00.

 

Also if anyone really wants to join we can always do the lower half and save there other half for another time. Saves and hour or so. Food for thought. Talk about it and let me know. I need to go to bed. 4 hours past my bed time.

Gettysburg was a very emotional place for me to visit. It felt like I had a lump in my throat and my stomach was turning the entire time!

 

Probably best I head straight to the campground tomorrow afternoon. I think it will be cutting it close if I try to meet up with yall in Searsburg.

About 3.5 hrs to Searsburg, with another 2+ to camp. Vs 4 hrs straight to camp.

But Ill be looking for a report from yall later on! Got nothing going on Sunday, so maybe Ill take the scenic route home if its worth it.

 

I honestly would do the same if I had the space for that. I'm in a 2 bed loft on the top floor so no basement to use. I technically use one of the bathrooms as a paint booth already but I don't think I'd have the space to paint that size of steel.

I do and I know there is probably at least 2 more compressors in other peoples' trucks.



I'm looking a kind unlikely for making it to Brattleboro/Somerset for 13:00. The ended our half days last week while I was on vacation I'll be happy if I can sneak out of work by 14:00; going to use camping as an excuse to leave saying that I don't want to setup in the dark. I'll probably look at some maps and steal the beginning half of those dirt roads to make the drive better than all roads.

Is there any kind of plan on food or everyone pack for themselves?

 

Well I guess we have to figure out who wants to take fireroads and when the last person to show is. Then we can all meet around same time. I think?!?

It's Gunners Daughter from Mast Landing in Westbrook. I just picked up their last 4 pack and got a free pint glass as well! Time to test out the new keggerator at home!

 

Yeah me and the misses are bringing food for us...but I will have the grill and plenty of propane if anyone needs to use it.

 

I'm bringing a backpacking kettle to boil water and a Coleman stove paired with a cast skillet.

Not sure what I'm going to cook on it yet tho... Something something about prior planning..

 

Im gonna run on heated up cans of ravioli and soups from my coleman stove. Five star meals

 

Yum, that's good stuff. When I have that, I like to drink one for desert. Did I say that's yummy stuff. I have yet to get up to Mast, but on my list.

 

Any ideas on the ride start time on Saturday morning?? ...... I want to try and figure out if I can make it in time, as I' d be traveling up on Saturday morning.

I'm not to sure but I know we are right there so I don't think there's going to be any rush maybe 10? But I really don't know.

 

We are bringing king crab legs.....yeah right hot dogs and chilli, we are going to have some competition with the dog it's going to be a gas!
