Yeah the leaderboard is great, but it would be a lot more helpful with some commentary. I'm supposed to pick mine up in a little over a week, and there are 18 in production above mine on that list.

I think this is a very well written response.

The leaderboard is automatically driven off of the shop status system the folks in the shop use. So things will move around as they group up builds. And the "in production" can mean a lot of things. When it first changes it means we've just started cutting material and welding frames. But for some it could mean that it's just waiting for a cushion set to be installed. So just because new campers have started production doesn't mean those are displacing ones currently in production.

Thanks for the reply. I get what you're saying, but how long does "in production" typically last? And will you ever be able to put out an estimated completion date on the board. Carry on.

    "What's your ECD?"

Gawd, I hate playing status monkey. Yet, we're setting up a QMS from scratch. The status of the status monkey is gonna get status'ed.

We won't be doing an estimated completion date because it can too easily be derailed by small things like supplier issues. I know right now a lot of in-production campers are waiting only on our foam order to arrive, for example. Supply chain is a real challenge to manage for small companies like us. Things like hurricanes and trade wars don't help matters :) But to answer your other question a camper can be in production from as short as one week to five + weeks depending. A lot of times we start in on builds farther out with the components we have material for while we wait for materials we're short on to arrive.

Thanks for the intel. I recognize that most customers won't be as tuned in to your manufacturing process and timing as some of us early folks are, but i for one just love this kind of tidbit.

Thanks again Wiley. Hopefully I'm one of those just waiting for foam orders.

I never said that, and I'm not here to argue over nit-picky details.
My original comment was made in support of the way Dr TMAC was looking at the situation after everyone else was so quick to tell him he was wrong.
If that wasn't clear, then my bad I guess.

Well i suppose the long wait has some advantages . What was supposed to be a 2-3 week camping road trip after I picked up my camper, has now turned into a 4-6 week trip. Keep poring over maps and finding more and more places I want to explore. :kona:

@gman36 is that 58 campers total since launching?

I'm not invested monetarily, just love the product, so haven't paid too much attention to anything outside of design stuff. Just thought it was funny considering that other guy's been saying GFC is missing out on potential customers due to a lack of security... If the (tens of) thousands of people who've seen this thread all put an order in, I'd imagine the GFC staff would have a collective heart attack.

It looks like they have 200+ orders so far. It seems like a pretty good product launch and they haven’t even began orders for just the rtts. I’m guessing once they come up with a $1500 option for an rtt. They’ll own the market

    Hey,
What silicone are you guys using under your bed rail caps and gaps in the bed? Starting prep work on my rig and any input/advice/pointers would be really apppreciated.

I used aluminum tape to cover all the holes in the top of the bed sides and 100% clear silicone to seal the new bed rails on. Seems to have worked pretty well. I get a small leak from each front bed corner when driving in heavy rains but it hasn’t been enough of a concern to track it down yet. I posted pictures of it somewhere back in this thread in early June before I picked up my GFC.
