1st Gen Lunchtable Thread - General Discussion

Winter is our wheeling season. Plenty of places a 2wd can go. But im serious about the dunes in october in pismo. Lunchtable goes to the beach on the 21st of oct

Just made a list of everything that needs replacing. Only 500$ and thats just suspension.

I still need to do my clutch and throw out, possibly the shifter bushings while im at it

 

What clutch you gonna get? I'd do the shifter bushings, it's easy when you're already there. I'd possibly do the input shaft bearing too. My squeals pretty bad and we forgot to do it when I did my clutch

 

Probably the LCE one

 

How much do they run for everything?

 

Is there a trick to getting the LBJ to line up nice with the spindle? I have zip ties through 2 of the holes to hold them close but it's still a bitch to get a bolt to start threading

I just had to mess with it, kinda sucks huh.

 

Yeah, this is the 3rd or 4th time this summer and I haven't figured out a trick besides Zen and luck

 

Why have you changed your ball joints so many times?

 

I haven't, I've done 3 CV seals and 1 shaft.

 

Nice not too bad. That with a new flywheel or you gonna just resurface yours?

But LCE light weight fly wheel is like 350$

 

Don't just re use yours, get it resurfaced, it's only like $45 at a machine shop and the difference is insane. I'll post a before and after of mine in a sec

 

I wouldn’t be surprised if mine has heat cracks

Ill have have to order my shofter bushings from marlin so might as well get a fly wheel too
