Glad someone quoted as it appears it was deleted.
I think his post doesn't fit exactly with the scenario of scumbag scam artist thief. I can't see any reason someone like that would make the post he did.
It'll be interesting to see if we ever hear back when it's all said and done but I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't given the rabid response he got.

TPMS question for @thefatkid or anybody who might have insight.
    Dash light is on blinking.
Rear tires are at 42, front at 37 for the camper.
    Spare is at 38.
Is this too wide of a range to keep that thing happy, or, my theory, is the spare may have dead battery. I dont think that one was serviced with new tires.

If its flashing for 1 min than staying on its a battery or sensor not connecting! Might try a reset see if it works. Mines been on since dec and not worth replacing crazy what they want for new ones.

    Flashes all the time.
Tried the reset, got the 3 blinks, but it continues to blink after that.

Dang, guess I got lucky when I ordered my Pelfrybilt front bumper and skid plate last summer. Only waited like 4 weeks, but then they called and said it would take another two weeks, which was accurate.

I still think CBI has a better design, but they didn't have aluminum, so I went with PB.

If you go aftermarket, it isn't as painful. $25-$35 each. I went with ITM and it was no problem to program. We'll see how long they last.

One or more of your tire pressure sensors had either broken or just died of old age. I broke 1 wheeling and just took the rest out so I no longer had to deal with them. Next time I pull the cluster I'll disable the light. One of those super cool federally mandated safety items we're forced to have (you can thank Ford and Firestone for the push though).

Does the light need to flash and shut off in order to pass emissions?
If not, ill just disable it too. I assume i just pull the bulb. I don't need a light to tell me things like this.

The emissions guys also plug into the scanner port, does that thing trigger any trouble codes?

I reckon that was mostly Ford... Running tires lower than the psi they should've to get the exploders to score acceptably on the rollover test...which baked the sidewalls from low pressure. Firestone was just the scapegoat.

Firestone was the only manufacturer having issues at those pressures. It was found on that one size tire they were leaving out a specific bonding agent that all of their other higher end tires were running. The Explorer was a heavy vehicle so once under the rated pressure on the door you were at risk for failure. Lower tire pressures increase grip and the chance for a roll-over, not sure where you heard that tidbit. In extreme cases, low pressure can cause the car to become loose again but those tires were failing at pressures in the mid 20s.

We were pulling them off of Tacomas also. The 4runner I don't think ever had that size in a Firestone. Was like a 225/75r15 so only base models had the chance of having them. Being the age before the dealers/manufacturers went full computer for data I'm having issues finding the documentation. It was a recall issued by Firestone through Toyota.
