No idea. But it’s always an acceptable rebuttal to whatever you just said. Haha.

    I definitely rode the bike.

    They'll fit.

Exactly. The most you may have to do is the fender liner mod up front.

Cut & broke off some stuff.
Anyone have some 3rd gen stock front coilovers I can have or at least borrow for a bit?
    Fully assembled, ready to install.
I want to take some measurements and experiment a bit (I won't break them).

@allmotorrex Been researching and searching an alternator upgrade since I got a beefier battery and don't want to limit its better than generic stock replacement output. Read about 20 pages in here of you and the boys discussing it. Saw $850 for that 250amp and about lost a nut down my pants leg.

Which one did you settle on, if at all?

I love my GM CS144. At the parts store or Rock Auto it’s an alternator for a 1996 Deville with a heated windshield. 140 amps and you just have to come up with one bracket.

Base and sport V6 models have 100 amp alternator. Off Road model (or models equipped from factory with tow package) are 130 amp. Bolt in/plug and play swap...internal reg.

Menial 2/3 of a motor. Can't use those options. 4 cylinders come with 80 amp

Physical size and mounting points still the same according to what the guys at "Louisville Auto Electric" told me. (Not 100% sure about belt pulley, but those can be swapped) When the diode in mine failed last winter (on a day when it was -4 degrees) auto electric shop that swapped mine said they carry one in stock....the 130A model, and use it in every application unless owner request's otherwise.

Just for schiddts and giggles, price one at your friendly neighborhood Toyota dealership. That $850 dollar one starts looking a LOT better.

There's also a member here that does hop ups on alternators. Seems like Matt has one. You may ask him.

What I've seen in pictures on parts store site's, they're different. Haven't held one of the larger ones in hand to compare under the hood. May try this route

A GOOD auto electric shop can build a higher amp alternator from a lower amp version. I had one re-done for a nephew to use on a farm tractor (uses GM 10s) from a 45 amp to 120 amp (to run a BUNCH of extra lighting) just in the last year. Cost was around $150 at that time.
