Bilstein 5100 with OME 885's

Anybody running Bilstein 5100 with OME 885's? Any issues or alignment problems? What size tires can I use without tires rubbing? Thanks!

That's what i am running. Aligns fine with stock UCA's. 275's no rubbing, had to remove small flaps up front though. I am just about done with my 275s and gonna try a 285 next.

Bilstein 5100 w/ Toytec 1.5 AAL

 

Bilstein 5100 W/885's and deavers 1.5 AAL HS taco lean spacer,265/75/16 BFG's,aligns fine no rubbing or UCA issues,i took front small flaps off, think could go larger tire without issues on mine

 

Did you give any consideration on installing the ECGS bushing. Looking to do the same setup. Yours looks great.

 

Thanks,No on the EGCS bushing, truck only has 23k miles on it and have had no issues at this time, will address it if i have to though, i have some of the relocation kits for truck but found that i didn't need them, when i brought it to alignment shop they said truck was barley out of align so i take that as a good set up for the Tacoma

 

Sounds good. Being on this site for awhile definitely helps, but also can inflate the concerns when lifting. Thanks.

 

yea i think for the money the Bilstein set up is hard to beat, and yes this site can scare one out of these lifts but if you take your time and don't beat the lift into place it will serve you right

 

That's what I'm running on my prerunner, do I will say I have now realized it would have been betterthou probably to do the 884 which I believe gives about 2.5 and then use maybe like a half inch v spacer, the reason I say this is that the shock doesn't really have much distance to they can travel down before it tops out which is kind of dumb.

so I'm thinking if I shorten the spring but moved the whole assembly down that'll give it just slightly more downward travel.

 

ugh i need to install my lift still. 2 years and counting sitting in the fkn box...........

 

Working on pulling the trigger this month. Will be installing with a friend. Hopefully can fit it into our schedules...

 

ouch,my lift was in the garage for a couple months before i installed it, i took me all day taking my time on my own, with someone else helping it def would have speed up the process but it wasn't all that bad on an install

 

yeah pretty sure i have an idea what alignment specs should be i think
this is basically what i have gathred
0° toe
0° camber
2.5°ish caster

 

After some time, I'm happy with my 885s. I think I would've been happy with 886 too though. The 885s just needed some top plate spacers to get me the lift I wanted. I do really like the way they ride paired with 5100s. I would like to compare with OME shocks though.

 

How do the 5100s compare to the 6112s
