If I was you, get the 10” coil overs. Measurements says that I’m giving up 3” of travel without cutting the fenders because of the current coil overs

I've got 10" co's and bypasses. Just bought some 8" for now. Building the rear and getting the engine dialed in w/ 7th injector and then we'll hopefully be in a position to take it offroad and figure out how the big shocks are getting installed - I'm trying to save by installing everything I can, but I'm not sure if my fab skills are going to be ready any time soon lol

Progress continues. Tie rods showed up and these work like a charm.

It drives. Once again I’m battling a seriously high ride height...

Is that with the 600's? Didn't want to swap out brake lines for the hard line fitting ones yet?

This xlt kit is so tempting. Looking great bud. But I thought you had to cut the coil bucket off for the xlt kit. Maybe I’m missing something.

Yeah to run 10" shocks - he and I are running 8" temporarily until then, but I'm not sure if the angle of the coilover changing from going to a 10" to an 8" is what's making our ride heights so tall - solo specs a 500 lb tender spring and a 600 lb main spring on the 10" co's and he's got 500 lb springs on the 8" and still too tall. :notsure:

Oh got cha. Depending on how my rear turns out and where I’m at with cash next year I just might sell my tc kit and pick up the xlt kit. I’m still considering a 9” for the rear right now.

ill need to do custom spring rates and lengths on a solo spec 10" coilover.
i plan to start with just a single rate and see what the ride height does, depending how far up the upper mount is relocated the amount of shock compression needed at ride height will change

regarding the current coilovers, if i wanted to get the height i want i would need 300lb coils...

so with 8's it does 14" limited by the shock, with 10s is should do 17 or 18.
to get the full benefit you need 10s, but to install it 8s work as a "driver"

300's - dang I was hoping a bumper and a winch would make 600's work. What did you use to calculate it? I might bite the bullet and buy some new springs since used low spring rate coils usually don't pop up just to get the ride height reasonable for now until I get the longer co's in.

Measure the current coil length, subtract the specified length by this measurement, multiple that by the spring rate. That is the load on the coil. From there divide that number by the spring rate to see how low it will sit with a different rate or divide it by the shock compression wanted at ride height to calculate needed spring rate.

Just install those 10s already and play woth dual rate from there. I ordered a set from solo and the hoop earlier today

Temporarily finished. Waiting on shock hoops and new coil overs and then I can fix the excessive ride height issue.

Also, brake lines are all cleaned up

Couple shocks, some old tires, and a bad paint job
At full crank and bump the tires clear?

Yes, that little trim off the fiberglass was the only additional trim required

How well did the Solo hoops line up with everything - thinking if I can't get a good custom setup they'll just be my back up plan, but based on past experience things don't always go as planned with those guys lol. I like their commitment to making sure they make it right with you though!

I just noticed the internal bypass logos and I had texted you about some finned resi bypasses - will you get regular bypasses even though you have the ibp co's?
