My buddy just put airbags on his tundra and he likes it. Anybody in here have any experience with them? Figured get those instead of leafpacks?

I'm just going by what I've been told, which is that diamond grinding skims off the top layer to allow a more solid bond, and that acid etch does not produce the same results.

 

Unless there is some geometry or compatibility issues I am unaware of, Archive’s product is basically the same. Except the Hammers have a small built in skid in case you drag it. Really just an angled lip on the leading edge.

I’m happy with mine but I’m also not LT.

 

We've had a good experience with the Firestone RideRites. I agree with @RPS1030 that it rides rougher than hell when unloaded but put a 7500lb gooseneck on the back and load another 3000 lbs of horses in there and the air bags do exactly what they are supposed to.

If you are towing a boat or even a lighter weight rv/camper/5th wheel I'd probably upgrade leaf packs instead unless you are towing some major weight.

 

Do it before you ever drive a vehicle in there. And an acid etch should be fine

Wheel spacers. Cmc. Big fucking hammer. You think 1/4 inch added to the coils will be enough?

 

I think an alignment will help a ton.
But need front more level with rear

 

LIke @DevilDocAZ helicoil is an option. My preference are TimeSerts

Haha, that's not on the truck, it's the Z. Changing out the spark plugs and had to take the balance tube off the intake manifold. Found some shotty work.

Time serts are way better than a helicoil. But absolute worst cas is take it to a good machine shop that can weld it and re-drill and tap it. That will just cost a lot more money
