It helps when you buy your house soon after the market crashes. Bought it for 205, but zillow says it's worth like 440 now.

Actually, the more I think about it, the better it is for you bay area numb nuts to come up here and think $500k for a 2 bed 1/8 acre is a GOOD deal. It's actually what's helping increase the value of my house. Not that I'm planning to sell any time soon, though.

But it is kind of stupid the prices people are paying, and it's just because the prices in the bay area are so high.

 

All the little ants are marching they all do it the same, it must have been where Dave Matthews got the idea. I don't know how anyone can spend hours a day commuting. I spent 3 hours driving yesterday, but a least I was getting paid for it

 

I think the mortgage on our 3,500 sq/ft 5 bed 4.5 bath in a track housing subdivision is $3,500 a month. Sold for $1.5mil with inflation in 2005 from the builder.

 

I had a honda civic si that i took on dirt roads in mexico haha. Caught a rock once and ripped the entire exhaust system out hahah. That was about 4 hours south of the border. I drove its loud af ass all the way to cabo n back lol. That was the year befor I bought the truck.

 

Precisely why I don't live in the bay area or LA. My commute is 6 miles and is all surface streets.

 

Are you kidding? I met someone here at SF State that originally commuted from Sacramento. Took Amtrak every day.

I "commuted" from Sac to Davis for a few weeks because I couldn't get into an apartment before school started so I stayed at my brother's place. That SUCKED.

About every 6 or 7 weeks I drive in to San Lorenzo for field work and that drive sucks, but at least I'm being paid for the drive, lol

 

I have a buddy that use to go from Richmond to davis everyday on train

 

Now that's retarded considering that UC Davis and Sac State are so close.
