Just waiting for the next big one. I, for one, am royally screwed. I live in a big metropolitan city, and my home back East is in a flood plain/marshland formerly a salt flat.

It was my safety. It's got a lot of good programs, but it's not for everyone and may not make sense depending on what you are studying.

I always went up to the El Dorado Hills to some family. Beautiful place up there. Always went boating on the Sac river and that lake by El Dorado, can’t remember the name.

I’m more social than you think. It’s just cold 99% of the week so you can’t do a damn thing outside.

And I wouldn’t rather be doing harnesses. I just have to get it done.

Sonora is way more rural. Plus you have opportunities to get your truck in the dirt :boink:

Heading there this weekend to visit my father in law (yes my wife and I are from the same town, lol).

Going to drive the Taco up and take the FIL on some easy-ish trails with his jeep. Probably Dodge Ridge, but then I want to finish Crandall Peak or maybe the Pine Crest Peak trail.

Considering the level of human development now vs. way back when a hundred years is nothing in the big scheme of things.

My FIL lives in Columbia, so Italian Bar road, which links up with Crandal Peak is pretty much out his back yard.

The engineering program is alright, some quality professors, but they could definitely use some extra money for an over haul on labs and equipment etc. Dude those people are annoying AF, you get use to it eventually and sometimes see funny shit. And yes it was fucking cold. I commuted in on bart from concord. It would sunny and nice at home, get to school, misty ,wet and freezing haha

1906 was no joke. A reported 800+ people died, but it's likey 3 to 4 times that many. 225,000 people were left homeless.
