I think with this new development we might find more ponies under the hood.

I doubt he will be offering that until 1.05 is released. Only makes sense to me. ‍♂️

I completely agree. Was just hoping he found a good source and supply of them.

My 2016 AT is on 1.04 (91 octane) and it still surges & grabs gears and downshifts hard. Do I have any hope for this to go away in 1.05?

Try 1.04R, no surging and smooth shifting for me.

Did you have these issues prior to 1.04R?

    I couldn’t care less about 1.05, I’m really liking 1.04r...

Is the reverse psychology working yet?

No, the R.P. is not working.

In seriousness, are you liking 1.04R? Your truck stock everything? I actually was very satisfied with 1.04R, until the tire upgrade.

My local dealer offer to do the latest tsb but I refused. I careless about trying 1.04r. Waiting for 1.05

Honestly I’m quite content with 1.04r, it’s leaps and bounds better than 1.04.Though I had to flash latest tsb myself to get 1.04r to flash.
I’ve got a very mild lift(level) with method nv wheels and dynapro atm tires 265/75/16, other than that stock.
It’s the reason I’m no longer jittery over 1.05 release, because to me 1.04r is that good.

I'm still rocking my stock wheels and tires, but I have the fancy kevlar off-raod tires. At 23k miles it's about time for replacement though. I thought they did great in the snow but admittedly they are the only tires I have tried. If the truck can handle snow even better than it did with stock tires... holey moley!

Just went in for service. Told me they did the latest TSB for the trans. No TSB number is noted on the paperwork. I flashed back to the stock tune from 1.04. When I got home I attached the tatrix cable and did an identify. Below are the results. Can someone advise which update this is if any? Thanks for the help.

04B04 is the update calibration file from the TSB. You're on the latest from Toyota.

Ok thanks for the quick response. So I would need 1.04R to flash again correct?

Can't just go from 1.04 to 1.04R without getting the latest TSB done at the dealer or do the TSB yourself if you have Techstream and CUW file.
