    It can wear , but the 2 I've pulled were not too worn.
    But clearly in GEN2 there is a size difference and I definitely have less "vibes"

    It is a shocking difference. If you can crawl under your drivers side and see how much play you have.
    That's shocking as well. At least on mine.
    If you need a hand let me know. An extra pair of hands helps. Lol
    This was me alone getting the axl out.BFH.

    how can you tell if the bearing is going out or needs to be replaced? mine is lifted about 2.5" but I haven't feel any vibes from driving. I haven't had any motivation to really look into the issue.

    my research suggests - no vibes = OK

    but you will get vibes eventually with a lift above 2".
