Planning to go to Holy Jim Canyon soon with my Trd OR Prerunner and my cousins 4x4 4runner. What preparation do I need to do for this trip?? Is there certain parts of this trail I should stay away from?? Also do we need permits to do any type of off roading in that area. Thanks

EDIT: Just found out about the place burning down, any other recommendations for 2wd friendly trails would be awesome.

Didn't Holy Jim burn to ashes now anyways?

Yes, and it was never really a place to go wheel
Plenty of other places in SoCal to drive on dirt roads

Wow didn't realize that it burn to ashes. I should watch the news more often.

I was going through old forums and many recommended Holy Jim for 2wd friendly trails and beginners. Thanks for the heads up.

Oh shoot. I though there were just provisions for 2wd not complete restrictions.

Pine Valley Rd with a good line through one small section. Also, Palomar Divide. There are more, but those are the only two that I’ve personally done and I’m still pretty green.
