    This is just absurdly false.
My truck just runs better on premium. The miss and vibes in the peddles go away with premiuim fuel. Read this thread, there are several others who have made the same comment.

It has 0 to do with the tranny as manual drivers have expressed the same sentiments. My Auto is fine.

    Go buy the ovtune.

You could also take it back to get flashed to the most updated software. But highly recommend the @OVTune

I was really shocked when I test drove my truck. It had plenty of power and didn't shift any more than other new autos I've driven. Maybe it's because we're fairly flat around here, but I'm extremely happy with the power and driveability of my truck.

I just picked up my '18 Pro few days ago and have the same issue but only at a complete stop and on a slight incline. If I give it a tad of gas such as going up my driveway then it stutters and theres this clicking/rattle noise which scared the hell out of me the first time. Its done it now twice and glad I found this thread. Back to dealer service!

It's all in the alpha thread. He's stopping orders so he can focus on 1.05 and the hurricane

Just purchased a '18 Limited a couple weeks ago as well. Noticed initially a low speed surge, not bad, but since then it seems to improve smoothness on its own...time will tell. If no improvement, the dealer will hopefully do a fix. Seems to be a common problem?

I printed the PDF out. I will try this. I don't like to change between the ECT and normal. It may hurt something down the road.

I pasted the engine number from the PDF 2GR-FKS and discovered another PDF that talks about the engine in depth.

It did mention it runs on 91 octane gas. I don't remember reading this in the owners manual.

Well they have tuned it to survive on 87 but the higher compression and whatnot is really suited to higher octane / more ignition advance... after all it was originally a Lexus engine which was tuned and designed to require premium fuel...
