Search through Camry forums. Probably more info there.

Also hit the bolt with a propane torch for a bit, but not too hot. Might be thread locker

Sure hope so. An impact should be able to take it off without the crankshaft being locked, right?

I suggest working on a Dodge Caravan of the same vintage before condemning the ultimate mom mobile.

I guess my hatred just comes from the fact that it's a traverse engine. Such a pain to work on those! You have to take the damn intake plenum off to change the rear plugs.

I've always found great pleasure in working on Honda and Toyota engines. I find Nissan engines everything is an afterthought when it comes to service. I wonder if they have a University of Phoenix in Japan and that's where Nissan engineers come from.

I've worked on a 4x4 converted v10 e350 and it is a pain. The engine is too long for the doghouse

Lol, I've always thought of Nissan as more ambitious Toyota. Toyota leaves all the power on the table when they make an engine and Nissan says yeah we can pull 400hp out of that 2L. But both are a pleasure to work on compared to American or European cars in my book

I don't know how techs can stand working on vans. I watched the guy in the shop next door remove and replace an engine out of a rusty Sprinter and he looked pissed for days on end

I know VW's scare people, but most of their inline 4 stuff isn't too bad to service. It's the shit plastics they use so removing things like engine covers and plastic vapor lines can turn into a shit show of broke parts when they start aging

I feel that I broke so many fittings doing a radiator and water pump on an I4 BMW

The Germans are still trying to figure out plastics. I once barely had my arm rub against a radiator hose on a Rolls Royce while changing a belt and the neck snapped off like a piece of balsa wood. Behr radiators and cooling system parts have been keeping euro techs bellies full for decades

Not groundbreaking, but a decent improvement for a $14 headlight kit

Is the only option for a snorkel on my 95 the Safari one ARB makes? 2 of my friends have hydro locked this year up here and with me wheeling 200 miles alone this hunting season crossing rivers all day and night I think it might be time...

I did the plugs on my friends 2006 Kia Optima 2.7L V6. That thing was stupid easy to work on. All the plenum bolts are the same size, so pop all of those out, undo some electrical harnesses and vacuum lines, and your there. Took 4 hours my first time but I could probably do it in 2 if I had to. 230k on the original iridium plugs.
