Chrome Sucks....

Opinions?

Also, since we have established that chrome does indeed suck more than a Hoover, should I just shave the chrome emblems or shave everything except for the Toyota on the tailgate and paint it black?

 

Well it's entirely up to you. On my last truck I debadged everything except the front chrome logo and TRD Off-Road stickers. Eventually I did flat black the front chrome emblem too. I'm going to debadge my new one too, and satoshi the front. I hate chrome myself, so yea.

Chrome does suck. I have taken every bit off except the rear bumper and wheels. New tires will get new black rims and the bumper is next. I took all all the badges and painted them black and did the satoshi. I hate chrome.

 

I just got rid of my chrome grille surround. I hate plastic chrome garbage. I will be debadge once I have enough free time to clay and wax the whole truck. I don't mind my chrome bumper though.

 

I don't mind a little bit of chrome, but I have painted bumpers, mirrors, etc so I'm not overwhelmed by it. My grille and wheels are machined to a shine so my chrome badges blend in. It's all personal preference.

 

I work with a guy that put pink mod rims on his Silverado. He's straight as an arrow, and says he does it so he can pick fights.

Chrome & debaged. If you don't like the chrome parts just trade them. Someone with non-painted part would trade and you you have a clean part to paint.

 

My next rims will be made out of round aquariums so I can roll around with live goldfish in them. Solves the chrome issue.

 

I have a sport so the only thing on the outside that is chrome are the emblems and the front grill badge. Wife loves the satoshi look so i will probably go with an older cruiser emblem painted either white of bronze/gold. However, I plan on getting the XD revolvers in bronze and I doubt I will find paint that is close so it'll probably be white.

 

Research has shown, time and time again, that people excessively opposed to chrome have also been shown to not bath regularly, and to have unhealthy 'relationships' with farm animals.
