Saw this little guy walking the Doberman today. Been watching him all summer, since he was a button buck.

Border Archery of Scotland Hex 8 Prototypes vs Hex 8 Production limbs. 45# medium limbs on a 19" Covert Hunter riser. Hex 8 Prototypes showed a drop in weight at 25-26" which explains the pronounced "let-off" feel which is revolutionary for a single string bow (recurve). The finalized version of the Hex 8's tamed this down a bit and smoothed it out. No "let-off" however there is 0 gain in draw weight at 25,26,27, and 28" draw. Insane. I call this Border Archery Sorcery/Magic.

Short vid with a link to the draw force curve graphs for the limbs.

So.....Om Saturday my son and I are placing two more stands. There is a "road" that runs up the hollow. Due to recent storms it's closed (locked gates) at the top and bottom. Foot traffic only. So, we placed the two and are walking down the "road" to our other spot and I said "Just leave your pack and stuff here, I just wanna swap trail cam cards." I take off my safety harness and lay it on top of his pack. We get twenty yards or so up the hill and here a racket. At first I thought it was a deer. Nope. Mountain biker coming down the road. He pulls up to our "stuff" on the side of the road, leans down and picks up my harness and looks around. I yelled "Scuse me!! Put it down!" He looks around again and answers "I can't see you. Where are you at?" Again, I yell "Put it down!" Now, where my son and I are is on a small thick landing, pretty much invisible to someone on the road. He keeps looking around, holding on to the harness and asks "Are you Wes?" Wes is the caretaker/manager of our lease. I said "No, I'm not. Put the ****ing harness down!!" Still hasn't dropped it. Still looking around. So we start back down the hill, he says "Oh, I see you." Still hasn't dropped the harness. As we got into view I told him "You need to drop that harness, NOW!!" He dropped it and scurried down the hill.

Damn, I hate thieves. The fact that he wouldn't drop it pretty much confirmed to me, he was gonna take it.

So the 4 pointer has been seen 3 more times on my camera
The only problem is it's not consistant.
So I'm going to take a chance and plant my ass on that spot when I hunt there.

Oh that mountain biker was lucky he wasn't shot.
