Chuck not for nothing bud when I did race it was bracket or heads up hit the tree he who got to the 1320 foot line first won. I was never in to the big boy stuff could not afford it . As for running Scotty bud your car has nothing for him he would be back in his pit long before you got turned around . The big difference is he needs an engine he orders parts and builds it himself he need a roll cage , chassis etc he builds it himself he does not order a whole engine nor pay anyone to do his work. Take a few min and go look at his records on tracks . You ever make it out this way with your car it would not pass tech. Never mind keep up with him.

I've got a friend who races in Open Comp Bracket Racing and runs a bone stock Smart Car that runs 21.xx /68mph in the 1/4 . He runs against 7 second dragsters or door cars and has won numerous track championships with his Smart Car

He has easily won against cars 14 sec faster as a majority of them red light or burn their transmission up sitting on the Transbrake waiting 14 sec for their side of the tree to activate

Back in the early 80's at OCIR (Drag Race in Socal) there was a competitor that Bracket raced a 71 Ford Pinto Station wagon that was bone stock . It ran the 1/4 mile in 19 seconds and usually had a 12-15sec advantage on the tree on some of the faster cars

If he had a good starting line advantage he would slow down or stop just before the finish line and wait for his competitor then just roll slowly across the finish line to take the win !!!!
