600# springs come with the 6112’s.

I got 700# springs and used my brute gorilla strength to install them myself.

I still have the original Billie 600# coils in original plastic pkg if anyone wants to buy them from me for cheap.

Don't want to rain even more on your parade but they might have you...it all depends on how "highway" is defined in your state's code.

    EDIT: You might have them...

    "Highway" means:

    (1) The entire width between the boundary lines of any way or thoroughfare of which any part is used by the public for vehicular travel, whether or not the way or thoroughfare has been dedicated to the public and accepted by any proper authority; and

    (2) For purposes of the application of State laws, the entire width between the boundary lines of any way or thoroughfare used for purposes of vehicular travel on any property owned, leased, or controlled by the United States government and located in the State.

I don't see how a parking lot would fall into any part of this definition nor the code you were cited under.

I believe the code you were cited under applies to parking your vehicle on a bridge or overpass (elevated structure)...don't see how they could even argue the elevated structure portion of it applying to you brodozing and parking up on the curb.

We went over this extensively in the nova thread. Even the local lawyer got all up in it. I have an argument I’m gonna work with, though it’s not super solid. Worst case I get a free day off work and still have to pay $50. And maybe court fees. I have no idea how this works.

It gets even deeper in the weeds. I was looking at the wrong code. I was looking at md law/county ordnance but failed to look for park police code.

Park police code closely mirrors the MD code, but leaves out certain words to make it more applicable to a park. So instead of “parking on a bridge or elevated structure on a highway” the park code reads “parked on a bridge or elevated structure”

Will make it a little harder to argue but I have a plan. The local lawyer (thanks @LocoLocal) found a case that shows the MD code was put in place to prohibit people from impeding traffic on bridges. I’ll argue that the two codes closely mirror each other and that the code I was cited under really isn’t applicable to what I did. A little bit of a long shot, but we’ll see.

I'm hoping that common sense will prevail but, I'm confident that if it does not, that argument about the purpose of the law will succeed!

To me you were just parking like that to be a jackass (looking at it from a cop's POV). Now if it were me as long as you were in your space properly or didn't drive over it and drive into the grass. It's just a :facepalm:moment. Use your pics as evidence those parking curbs are like guard rails to prevent people from driving into something they don't want them to. I mean in reality the judge or ada could just say well the officer used the wrong code they should of used the code for failure to park in the space properly and still fine you. But that could be an argument to get you out as well because court will tell you ignorance of the law is no excuse so if the officer, who could of looked up the code, is ignorant of the law then that is no excuse. If it's your first ever ticket then you'll get let off without arguing though that normally happens down here. Wear your Navy uniform that helps.

I have yrs of experience and tickets in arguing my way out of moving violations down here. It's actually a rush to be able to win and the judge dismiss.

It's definitely a fun learning experience lol I don't plan on parking like that again anymore because this is such a hassle.

Yep same thing with tickets down here for things like expired license or tags. You just have to get it up to date before your court date show an ADA that it was done and they tell you to have a nice day and it's thrown out without any fine or court costs. Just a way to piss you off enough to remember to do those things.
