anyone considering a 2019 Corolla hatch as a commuter? I drove one the other day and the adaptive cruise and lane trace assist is a huge help, especially for a long commute. That and the gas savings might have me pulling the trigger. Anyone know when tacos might get the same tss 2.0?

Probably not the best place to ask this, but I would say no if it was me about the Corolla.

I'm probably going to get flamed to hell for saying this but sometimes I miss my prius. Most practical vehicle ever built possibly, got 50mpg and had more usable cargo space than my tacoma ironically. I could fold the seats back down and fit all kinds of surfboards, I actually camped and slept in it comfortably and since it was a hybrid or basically a generator on wheels I could always have the ac running

Pretty much everyone who talks crap on a prius never owned one. I even got head in the backseat of the prius from a chick while her best friend wanted me to grope her tits and choke her lol

I was in line behind someone at the dealership who's hybrid battery went dead and I think it was $5,500 to replace.

You can get them done for about $1500 now. Also in ca there's a state law where toyota has to give you an 8 year warranty on them

Won't lie, there are plenty of days I miss my Mazda 3 Hatchback. Great mpg, could fit a shit ton in the back with the seats down(75 gallon fish tank and a surfboard at one time),slide into any parking spot. I see them on the road and instantly miss it.
Like it's been said though, probably not the best place to ask about the Corolla though ahaha

2018 Rav 4 as a commuter. Around 30 mpg and lots of room. Good acceleration for a 4 banger. Had a Corolla. Great car as well.

A little something every chance we get.
Put me down with the Prius proponents. Family has had a 2010 (3) for the wife, causing me to get a 2011 (2) (and trading in a Tacoma lease - gas was over $4 then, and I was not "using" a truck") then a 2014 (2 Touring) for me. To get my son to drive, we got him a 2005 with 90K, and he loved it until last fall, when the brake brain got flaky, but got a good deal at college for a 2012 (2 with too many options). If you like getting between 45 - 50 mpg - NO, rephrase that - NOT paying shit for gas. You will love that. Can you put a ton of shit in it - yes. Just not the ugly stuff you would put in a truck! But still, a dozen bags of bark mulch without folding a seat? Quiet, actually quite responsive, lots of available options. Want a deal? Look for a last year new, or lease/trade in.

For fun, here is a pic of our 2005 with a bunch of 8' 1X2, and a screen door. Just fold down the seats. My son was a drummer, and count fit his set inside without even bothering the passenger seat.

2019 Rav 4 Trail. Lift and All Terrains. Who cares about MPG. Seriously the Rav if some one makes a 1-1.5” lift might look descent.

Corolla Hatch is nice but they should of put the 2.0T in it.

Are you talking about the Corolla IM? I'm not a small hatch person but these would make a great commuter & extra car for the family. I looked at it on the Toyota build site & sister-in-law has one that she loves

2018+ Tacos has adaptive cruise and lane departure assist. But to save money, u should get the corolla. Personally, the hatch corolla is ugly so i would get the regular corolla sedan. Great cars, i drove all of them but i love tacos
