Missed my group bike ride. Laid in the couch for a half hour until I got kicked out.

    Had to do yard work.

Little string trimmer kicked some solid ass this morning.

    Kidding.

There’s a creek that runs through my property and supports a lot of wildlife, so I try not to mess with the area around it too much. I just trimmed it back a little.

Turtles, waterfowl, marmots, turkeys, deer, fox, coyote, etc.

In fact, every year there seems to be a fawn or two that are born in the woods about a hundred feet to the right. Which is interesting because a pair of foxes live in a den a hundred feet back across the creek.

I was about 200 feet from this mangy critter and we were kind of staring at each other until a remembered to pull out my phone to take a fuzzy pic.

He’s standing 40 feet to the right of where my string trimmer is. Which is another reason why I think twice about doing any sort of yard work in the area. Lol.

    Finished the lawn.

Didn’t get attacked by a dingo, so it’s a good day.

    Yeah. I enjoy mowing.

It’s the other shit that I hate: String trimming, especially in the woods, pulling weeds, trimming shrubs with the hedge trimmer. All of that sucks.

I feel ya Lloyd. When I string trim, I average 5 spools and 4 tanks of fuel. The weeds, fugetaboudit! Those are the devil!

Hahahaha, no way man, too old for that anymore. When we first moved up here all I could afford was a 22" JD, then I bought a 42" Scag, then a 36" JD garden tractor, then a 48" JD garden tractor with a rear locking diff. Now I have a 54" Kubota 4WD 3cyl diesel.

It still takes every bit of 4 hours if I don't edge.
