I'm getting ready to do a 3-ish" lift on my 17 DCSB OR sometime in the next month or two and am pretty dead set on using King shocks all the way around with Total Chaos UCA's. Still undecided if I want to do an add-a-leaf or a full replacement pack, but I'd like it to be an all-inclusive kit so I can gather all my nuts in one basket all at once and just knock the lift out in a weekend without having to run around scavenging for parts.

Where would you suggest buying the kit from? Of course, the best price is important but customer support is a high priority also. It would also be awesome if it was somewhere semi-local to me in So Cal to avoid shipping costs... Any recommendations?

I went through Filthy Motorsports. King's is pretty much all they deal with and costumer service was top notch.

I haven't pulled the trigger on anything yet but am leaning towards these guys as well. That guys youtube videos are pretty in depth and seem to make sense, I assume he knows what he is talking about.

Which kit did you go with? Did you do the rear shock relocation?

I ended up keeping the stock location. The relocation was tempting, but ultimately out of the budget. Maybe a few years down the line. I also went with the non adjustable. The truck is on logging roads almost every day and I'm not going to stop twice per day to adjust the shocks. So far the valving has been good. I've had them on 9 months and around 25K and couldn't be happier.

Ben knows what he's doing. He called me up after I ordered and spent around fifteen or twenty minutes on the phone with me asking various questions pertaining to the truck and what I did with it. After a few more emails verifying things, he ordered up the shocks.

Nice. What kind of lead time was it from when you ordered to being able to install them? Was it a big difference in ride quality on and off road?

Hey if you're ever looking for someone to tag along hit me up! I have been looking around my area but would rather not go it alone seeing as I've never really done much

Lead time was around three weeks if I remember right. The ride quality on road was stiffer than stock due to the shocks being a little more setup for medium speeds (30 to 40 mph) on logging roads. Not bone jarring, just a little stiffer. It's not that unusual for me to spend 200 miles per week on logging roads. The average is probably some where around 150 miles per week. Off road there was a night and day difference. The truck was much more controllable through washboards and potholes. Washboard areas that I would have to slow down to around 10 mph for , I was able to go through at 25 to 30 mph with out any problems.

No problem. It's always nice to have another truck along even if It's just on Forest Service roads.

I might be purchasing front and rear Kings at Downsouth Motorsports very soon along with OME rear leafs. I think Toytec has $75 off for the front with TW discount code. Going to see if DS Motorsports can beat their pricing.

I vote DSM...they seem to always have inventory with very competitive prices and normally know based off your application what sort of valving you may want before it ships. The valving is free too btw.
