How do you tell the difference between the drunk sleeping it off (being responsible) and the drunk who passed out before he put it in park and will still be drunk in an hour or two when he wakes up to complete his journey? They may not be driving, but they have control of the vehicle. If the gear selection dictates DUI, then pull onto the shoulder and put it in park when you see a DUI checkpoint and you are home free.

    Or call an Uber.

I found a nice goretex jacket for hunting too!
    Screenshot_2018-09-15-14-18-19.jpg
And it was only $115, for freaking gore tex, usually $250-350

    Yup, it's 2018 1/2 everything's online.
Especially with a background from the corps you have more gun safety knowledge then half the people who start.

I'd love to go out sometime. I did some hunting when I was out in NM (rabbit, quail, squirrel, and elk), but I almost always went out with other people.

Umm, ? Not sure. I think if you search VA DGIF(dept. of game inland fish)
it should give you some links
Grab one of the hunting trapping guides at any sporting store and will tell you more.

There are lots of websites to take the Hunter Safety course. Just google VA Hunter Safety and pick the cheapest. That's what I did when I took it in 2016 when I moved out here. I had to take it to apply for my concealed carry.

Or start here: https://www.dgif.virginia.gov/hunting/ and start reading.

Good luck. Getting out of state hunts in NM is tough because so few out of state tags are issued. It's 10% or less. I put in back in 2017 with no luck. I didn't try this year. When I lived there, I put in for the resident only cow elk hunts because I wanted the meat (dgaf about horns) and was drawn every year.

Does anyone have a pole saw that I'd be able to borrow? I need to trim up some trees next to my house. I'm debating whether it's worth spending the $100+ on one, and I figured that I'd ask here before I broke down and bought one.

I have an inexpensive Fiskars one that reaches 19' you could use,
I want an arborists pole saw though and that $200 price tag is holdong me back.
