    I've got a camera on the front of mine. Reverse image. I don't see a green wire to cut or ground anywhere :(

    And done. Kind of. Still have toi put the switch for the navigation override, but the front camera and appropriate switches are installed and working perfectly.

    I did not illuminate the switch as the LEDs are yellowish and they aren't really needed as the switch is the only one of it's shape/size. Very easy to tell I'm touching it. Good tolerances. Smooth movement. I have to shave a little off the top, but didn't mar the face at all. It barely touches the top portion of the switch console.

    Wiring schematic: (If the cameras are reversed, then move the Red from Relay to the empty "-----" position. LEDs were not used, so are also empty.)

    Not shown is the power for the front camera. There is a red wire imbedded with the yellow video cable. Behind the radio, I connected that red wire to the red wire on the relay switch. When the relay gets power when I flip the camera switch to the front camera position, then the front camera also gets turned on, not just viewed.

    Mounting position: (If it gets snagged, I'll just get another. Super cheap and love this angle.

    Front Camera View/Adjustment:

    Camera:
    https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B018800TR2
    Can be flush mounted or surface mounted. Also come with a cute one-time use Chinese hole saw. I laughed when I saw it.
    No need to cut any wires to flip image. Just rotate camera in harness.
    It does have an overlay for distance, but not sure if I'll use it. Going to run without it initially.

    From Manufacturer:
    White Wire – Camera Orientation
    Connected = Front Facing (default)
    Disconnected = Rear Facing
    Green/Blue Wire - Distance Overlay Lines
    Connected =No Lines (default)
    Disconnected = Lines

    Switch:
    https://rockerswitchpros.com/product/vjd2-u66b/
    Needs a Switch Actuator as well (switch face).
    I didn't use the LEDs, but the switches without LEDs aren't ON-OFF-ON DPDT switches. They are momentary at most.

    I bought some switches without the wire connector. Anyone know where I could buy it? I've been searching online for a couple days and can't find it anywhere. It's the same style as from ch4x4.com

    This is what I'm looking for:

    Contact ch4x4 and ask them for just the connector. They'd probably sell it to you.

    I was able to get the nav switch into place. That was a little bit of a pain. I made two mistakes when doing it, but both are minor and/or fixable easily.

    I tried removing the collar around the steering wheel so I'd have good access, but I broke two tabs on the upper collar section. That should be fixable as it has plenty.

    I also drilled the hole wrong initially even though I was feeling around, the switch was making contact so I had to move it a little. See the picture and you'll understand. It needs to be close to the edge as there isn't much depth everywhere. I'll probably get some Sugru to plug the hole, but I'm the only one that will know it's even there. It also needs to go more towards the driver side rather than the passenger side.

    I still need to test the switch while driving.

    Yeah I’m interested how the Nav switch goes. I think you lose tracking while switched as you enter your address into the Nav, then when I switched again you find your location again. Let us know

    What does the back of your switch look like? If it receives a plug like this I’m surprised it didn’t come with it

    Hi Dave. In this pic, is this the front camera with those guidelines, or is this the OEM back camera??

    That is a photo of the front camera, and the one I used can either have guidelines or not. I like them as I know the far line is about 3 ft or so for reference.

    Bought the switches second hand. The push button face is blank with no icons or words. I'm going for a "stealth" look.

    And the back? Do you have metal tabs sticking out or do you need a wire plug that snaps in?

    I need a wire plug for the back. I had bought a rocker switch with the tabs sticking out but that didn't fit in the Caliraisedled cubby 3 switch plate so I returned the switch.

    I went off roading up in Stanislaus National Forest in CA yesterday and love this front camera off road. I forded a river to a center island, determined that the uphill was blocked and had to do like a 12 point turn to turn around, and the front camera kept me from hitting a stump hidden in the grass. Really nice to see obstacles too when hill climbingF12D90BF-4CCD-4444-8A88-9169539F38DF.jpg

    I just grabbed one of your post so I could ask what happened to JJ’s systems from TRDMOD ? I bought a front and back setup from him a couple of months ago and haven't installed it yet. (been busy) Did he have any problems with them?

    Technical question. I had my head unit out yesterday installing a Kicker Key amp. I did not see an RCA video connector on the back of the head unit. Where dose the camera (front/rear) connect on the head unit?
