Oh Man! you are my tuck twin only I've got the darker gray. I also have a soft topper! Love the versatility! Thanks for chiming in! Did you ever think the 888's were too much/high? or were you aiming for a 2+" lift?

I would only do that with the 885 Springs if I wanted a touch more height

Thanks. I noticed in that chart, and the three shops I talked to, basically don't pair the 886's with 5100's. I guess there is a higher chance of the struts failing, hence my original post. But as I study this some more it sounds like I could do the 5100's with 888 or 887's. OR... OME on OME.... OR... go with some 6112's... its a paradox.

I have 887 with 5100s. SSO Slimline bumper with winch and I'm just under 2" lift after a month of use and a weekend of good off-roading. Afraid I'll lose a fraction of an inch when I put sliders on and I can't afford to lose a fraction of an inch. :(

Being perfectly honest I was hoping to be at 2.5”. Right now I’m at about 1.75”. Also really wonder if it’s the suspension or the truck but I feel the cracks and chewed up road more than I would expect and it is a little annoying. I wish I had shocks with better dampening so I don’t have that all the time. Subaru’s do a great job of damping stuff like that and I wish an aftermarket shock (perhaps Fox or ADS???) that would offer cushy dampening without sacrificing ride. I may end up going to Bilstein 6112’s or ADS in the future when these wear out. Offroad this truck is fun and takes me everywhere

FYI max lift of the 6112 is advertised at 2 inches.

You can always move the 5100 up one ring slot. Even though not recommended, I don’t see the harm in 3/4 inch.

Also one thing to note in how the road feels is what tires you run. I’m going to get new tires soon and make another judgement, but for what I do it’s fine just on the low side

I thought about it, but I don't know exactly how to do that. I don't want to have to take the shock and coil apart.

Taking the shock and coil apart is the only way to raise the clip rings.

I feel the same way. I thought it was my 10ply tires cuz my psi was too high, aired down only made a little difference. My gf kept saying I thought it was supposed to improve the ride lol

I’m looking to get the ADS 2.5 extended travel with remote clicker adjustment because they are progressive compression and digression expansion which is optimal for daily driver and off-roading, but....

    .....$1,900.00

Yah I have a feeling the Bilsteins May be smoother as far as daily driver shocks, but I’ve done some 45 mph Offroad stuff like washboard roads and it feels great

You have to preload the shocks considerably to get 2”. You may not like how stiff they feel. To get true 2” without compressing the spring you need cool overs with longer coils and aftermarket UCAs
