Hey how loud did your old ones get towards the end of their life?

 

I didn’t take an exact measurement but they were definitely gonna have to be replaced before winter.

 

Sorry man, I meant how loud did they get with that much wear? Do they make a decent amount of noise? I have about 13k on mine.

 

Not that I noticed. Side lugs started chunking after the last 2 wheeling trips though. I’m glad I decided to buy another set. It’s still a great tire.

 

How many miles on these?

Will I notice any change from my stock size Goodyear's (P265/70-R16)? Other than better traction, of course! The size is pretty damn close, but I believe these have a much higher load rating.

My stocks are damn near on the wear bars, including the one BS replacement brand I got after getting punctured by a small, chisel shaped ROCK.

 

How’s the ST MAXXs performing in the East Coast in all this heavy rain and high water from the hurricane?

Im in VA and looking to purchase these tires, likely 265 75 16s.

I've never had a doubt in my mind when its rained like it has recently.

 

Those of you running 255/80/17s on a 2nd gen, what lift are you running, do you have rubbing issues, and did you re-gear? I’m ready to pull the trigger on some tires and I love this size over the 275/70/17. Just wanna make sure it will be good to go with my icon stage 2 lift. I’m running 17x7 wheels so I can’t run 285s.

 

St maxx has plenty of siping though the tire. It performed very well in sand, rain, and snow for me.

 

I'm running 255/85/16s on OME 2.5 inch lift. I've got Level 8 Strike 6s with an offset of -6. I have rubbing on the black plastic on the bottom of the front bumper but that's it.

 

265/75R16s going in as we speak. Should be mounted and aligned by lunch!

 

Didn't skip leg day today; Truck finally hit the gym. LT265/75R16 Cooper ST Maxxs. These things deliver the beef for sure. #Somuchrubbing

 

Rubbing?

 

Not sure what since I didn't look, but based on the buffering sound, I'd venture the front bumper or the mud flap hump.

I'm also running wider offset wheels than stock, and the ST maxx run about a half inch big for the size. Just all those factors make for some rub on sharpish turns.

 

Probably just your flaps, pull them off! It really cleans up the truck.

Edit: I have that size, no rubbing at all.

 

I'm gonna do some investigating after work. Coming into the winter months in SLC, the mud flaps help keep all the salt and shit off your bodywork so I like keeping them on. We'll find out.
