Just got back from a road trip vacation to No Cal., the other night a car coming from the opposite direction flipped and rolled. It was very late at night and on a pitch dark stretch of freeway. I was doing 77/80 mph. There were two cars on the scene, but no CHP or EMT yet, ten minutes latter I heard on the radio the guy hit a deer before he rolled it. Anyway, do these things work? I also saw numerous elk just wander across the roadways, dumber then sh!t animals, but I was going real slow and in daylight.

I have seen many cars with deer whistles and deer smashed on the hood/bumpers. I have also been a passenger in 3 cars with deer whistles that smacked deer. Now these were all white tail deer...maybe mule deer they work on??

You can buy deer whistles by the hundreds for pennies at any junk yard, lightly used.
    They don't work!

Deer whistles give you false confidence to drive faster in low light, causing you to hit deer you otherwise would have avoided by driving slower .
