It is funny about us and the cats. There’s always been this stigma that guys don’t like cats. :notsure:

    Why only three legs?
I like the little black patch on his nose. :)

Glad to hear it. Ready for a good weekend myself. Actually had the day off today too but spent the day on all my chores so I’m freed up for the weekend. My wife knows how much I love our cats she just thinks it’s funny that there’s a cat discussion/ following on a truck forum.

That's right. It's his own catnip plant. Boy, what I went through to keep that sucker alive!

She’s right, it is funny. I’m just glad I stumbled upon it.
If I don’t have at least two of the cats on my lap with me I feel like there’s something wrong.

Some long years ago, he fell into a crack in the wooden fence, and ended up hanging by his back leg all night. He apparently had lost consciousness by the time most of us left for work, and staying out all night at his age then was not uncommon. He had a cat door, and used it no problem. Our neighbor at the time was a TX State Trooper, and found him hanging on his side of the fence mid-morning. He took him to the one local vet, who then called me, and eventually my wife as well. Then, they decided they could not help him. So, he got a DPS escort to another vet in town. By the time I got there, Cuda has had several visits from other locals, and had become suddenly famous. At that time, he was a very healthy 24 pounds of muscle, and the leg they amputated was 7 pounds of it! A couple weeks recovery, and assurance a rear leg is easier to overcome than a front, and he's been back ever since. Not to say that his life has been without issue, as I figure is on 7 or 8 or his 9 lives. You gotta love him.

What a crazy yet sad story. Glad he’s ok though. Just goes to show how resilient animals are. Give that guy some extra luvin from all the tw cat lovers.

I’ve always had cats. Growing up my Dad was very anti-dog. I’m not but I also have no desire to have one. A cats independence is one of their attributes I believe.

Here’s my boy Calvin (yes we had a Hobbes too). We rescued Calvin from deplorable conditions and he wouldn’t eat for the first week. Once he settled in he never left my side. We lost him when he was 18 (15 of those he was with me) and I still miss him. He truly was an incredible guy.
