Current information regarding the turbo kit

    - Our initial system used 2x Garrett GT2560 turbochargers. T25, internally gated.

The fitment was tight but overall fit well. However the drivers side turbocharger location is not really ideal. On my R&D truck which is a Pro version with larger tires, there is plenty of clearance from the ground which wouldn't really make it an issue.
However the location of the drivers side turbocharger, after more thought is very likely to be a bad location for a stock height truck. Even worse a 2WD truck, as the drain tube has nothing to protect it
So with that, the GT2560R Turbo option, due to the overly sized compressor housings, is being scrapped. (image below you so can get an idea of where it was at).
Hopefully that can give you an idea of what I am saying.
By scrapping the GT2560s we will also be able to leave both secondary cats in place.

    Second- Oil Drain
Currently the oil drain setup is a 90 degree fitting to the stock oil drain location with high temp 5/8 silicone hose. Again, because the R&D Truck is a pro with a skid plate the fittings are well protected.
But this leaves zero protection and a major point of failure for a truck that does not have a skid plate. So we are working on a separate drain for trucks w/o skid plate.

    Third - Intercooler
Many people were asking about the intercooler,
here is a quick image I grabbed of the intercoolers location. It goes behind the thin bar, only 1 piece of the truck needs removed for fitting.
I am working on have an aluminum piece to replace the bar. I will show how the intercooler is mounted when the mounts are finished. Currently I have the prototype pieces and the 3D printed prototypes only.

more information regarding how it's setup will be available soon.

    Reason for delay:
    Turbocharger:

A few weeks ago we spoke with the turbocharger company that creates the Billet 13T/ other options we are going to have.
We finalized a deal for them to make a custom version of these turbos using a Hybrid 11 Blade GTX compressor version of these turbos.
These new turbos were suppose to arrive to us already but have not. We want to show the kit off with these turbochargers.

    Intake:
Toyotas Square wave 10khz MAF sensor has given us some delay with coding with our MAFT.

Finally.. The turbo kit is going under a bit of construction / changes. So I will have more information available soon.
We have a pair of 19T turbos coming in next month so we can show response with that setup, and our hybrids will be here this coming Tuesday.
The new setup, to avoid any low hanging of the turbos, are going to be top-mounted, on each side. It does not require any modification / cutting etc. Only requires moving some already unnecessary brackets for the intake manifold on the drivers side.

I will have a lot more to share very soon and better pictures. Some pieces of the kit are being changed from how we originally wanted. When it is all ready, videos, off-roading, all the good stuff :)

Mounting the intercooler is very easy. However I do not know how it will interfere with other front bumper items.

If you guys could give me pictures of the things that may interfere, I can take a closer look

The Garrett was the mid range setup. I believe.

Can you define what you mean by what may interfere? Stock or aftermarket? Because I know some people might have behind the grille light bars

The Hybrid 20Ts we had made outflow a GT2560R by more than 80hp per turbo.

Some people were saying aftermarket bumpers, front bumper winches and other things.

Just checked, the Garrett is the one step below 600hp Tacoma

Right, but understand we're doing away with the garrett option completely. I'm not comfortable with the driver side fitment, and smaller frame Garretts aren't really worth it due to their limitations. A step down would be GT22s, nobody wants that.

Depending on where the bottom of the intercooler is, an aftermarket bumper might interfere with air flow to the bottom portion

I feel like the turbo baseline setup should be for a stock Tacoma, if you are modified, its on you to figure it out.

@OVTune , were you able to run this system on your truck yet or still developing? Big question if you were able to run it is how did run?

Can you show a pic of the intercooler from the front straight on with the top grill removed? I think based on the dimensions of the IC in the first post it won't interfere with bumpers or winches at all

Trying to keep up with this thread best I can. Should be no issue running one of these set up through winter months of heavy snow and high altitudes?
