Why would you rent a shop if you can use your dad’s shop?

 

So i can leave stuff out. He will get mad if i leave parts everywhere

 

Do you realize how expensive a shop is!?

 

Same as renting a house. Like 3k a month

 

Do you have 3k a month you can just throw away? Unless you’re running a business, why would you do it?

 

As long as you don’t get your hand caught between the magnet and metal your good

Have you ever worked on the Hybrid battery packs on Priuses? I’d like to rebuild the one on my Civic - but the voltage is concerning.

Yes. I went through the tranining. The first time is sketchy. But now I don’t even wear rubber gloves most of the time. Just don’t touch the bus bars. If your having any doubt thought please don’t do it. The voltage is lethal.

 

That’s the stupidest thing that’s ever come out of your mouth. $18,000 a year is a lot of money you can use for a lot of other things.

Seriously man, which how expensive the cost of living is here I don’t understand why you’d want to waste that kind of money unless you’re running a business.

 

Basically follow the factory manuals to the t.

 

Do you think rebuilding the battery pack is a good idea? Or should I just not take the risk?

 

You can rebuild them. Or Napa sells replacement packs. It’s safer to do the packs. Once you open the battery your in the danger zone. More so than just swapping it

 

I mean i dont have to pay for rent so there is that

 

Move to Indiana. 1500 a month would be like 10,000 sq ft of shop lol

 

Think the risk is worth it? I’m fairly versed with electricity but I don’t know if I should risk it.

 

Ask me again after I get my degree. I don’t have a stable income right now.
